Easy-to-Read Bible Stories

A well written book of "Easy-to Read Bible Stories". I received my book mid Feb. and now reading it the second time ( just for pleasure) and I am learning more than the first time through.It is an easy read, well written, researched and in just the right size print. I have read before ages of some of the people in the Bible and had forgotten them, and for some reason they jump out at me in this book and it has to do with the way the stories are written (told).How old was Noah when his three sons were being born? What age was Noah when he started building the ark, and how long did it take to finish? David served as king for 40 years but what was his age when he died?I really like this book and hope to see more from Dr Douthit soon.

As the title says, easy to read. Great book Jim. I really enjoyed bible stories I have known most of my life, brought back to my life in this book. I also love that I have a personal connection with the author - he was one of my favorite university professors. I'm excited to reconnect with my past thru this book which happens to contain most of my favorite bible stories.

Jim does a great job making it easy to read stories from the Bible. He has done his research and stays true to God's Word. I enjoy looking through the book and reading the stories to my grandchildren. They already know the stories and Jim makes them come alive in his easy to follow writing style. This is a great book for all reading levels and all ages. Well done, Jim!

I love this book! These were stories that I have heard and read all my life but this version was so straightforward and easy to read. I enjoyed reading it myself as a way to get to know the characters better and also shared it with my second and third graders on Wednesday night church and they enjoyed it as well!

Reading this book was so enjoyable.Stories that I had read before in the Bible are much clearer now, and more understandable. I wish I had more books like this to read Don't hesitate to buy a copy of this wonderful book. And be sure to recommend it to others. Even young people will benefit from reading it.

Highly recommend this book. It is well written and very easy to understand for children as well as adults. This would make an excellent gift for a child, grandchild, friend or church library. My compliments and respect to Jim Douthit for his successful efforts. Best wishes for his future health.
