Awesome, almost like Illy
This stuff is great. I love the Illy coffee but it's so expensive and I wanted to buy something organic and fair trade instead of continue to enrich the Western coffee conglomerates. This stuff is great. The flavor is strong and I have to say I barely noticed the difference with the Illy stuff (medium and dark). We use it in our DeLonghi fully automatic EAM 3300 and you initially could not tell when we switched the beans. I think there is a slight difference, the Illy does come across a little stronger with otherwise same settings. But I'd rather be organic and fair trade. Taste and quality wise, this is definitively 5 stars. Taste preference wise, I think the Illy has a slight edge as it has a very strong unique character, but this one makes me feel better.

Delicious coffee!!
This is really, very good coffee! Clean and crisp but perfect balance, depth and acidity. I selected the Lush. It’s said to be a medium-bold, but to be truthful, it’s a beautiful medium with subtle complexity. A very good cup of Joe!

Very good coffee, with an almost cocoa finish
At this price there is a lot of competition and this coffee while being good doesn't quite tick all the boxes for a $25 bag worth.Don't get me wrong - it is a good, "ethical" coffee (whatever that means), and delivers as described. Smoky/cocoa finish, and a slightly sweet aftertaste, strong as well. It is just a bit too light on flavor in this price category. It definitely didn't dethrone my two mainstays, Kimbo or Ruta Maya, both of these have a deeper complexity of flavor. It might be just me but at somewhere into a 0.5lbs of it I got bored and started alternating it with the other two mentioned above.I'd probably say that this one works great in cappuccinos.

Organic Dark & Delicious
I love this coffee. Not all organic coffee was created equal. I have had this coffee tested and it is cleaner than clean for anyone who is sensitive to pesticides. It’s dark and delicious !

Smooth, Rich taste
I like dark, robust coffee. This met my expectations with a smooth, creamy taste. I was looking for an ethically grown coffee and although this does not specifically say “shade-grown,” I wrote the company and they said it was (I can’t remember the exact wording.)

... us to try since Ethical Besn Classic is our favorite coffee of all and it is great
I got the Lush for us to try since Ethical Besn Classic is our favorite coffee of all and it is great. This is now my daughter's favorite. I like it too but still love Classic.

One of my go-to’s
Ethical bean dark is one of my two main coffees, depending on the price I can get them for online. It’s a great delicious dark roast and usually a good price for a big bag on Amazon. The expiry date is always a long time away also so fresh beans.

Ethically delicious
This 907g (2lb) bag of whole-bean coffee is delicious and comes with a range of ethical certifications that make it even more appealing.First and foremost, I appreciate that this coffee is certified organic. Knowing that it is grown without harmful chemicals and pesticides gives me peace of mind, both for my health and the environment. It's refreshing to enjoy a cup of coffee that is tasty and aligns with my values. The fair trade certification of this coffee is another aspect that I find commendable. It ensures that the farmers and their families who work hard to cultivate these beans receive a fair price for their efforts. By supporting fair trade, I contribute to a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry. Now, let's talk about the taste. This medium-dark roast offers a classic flavour profile that is both rich and smooth. The elegant acidity adds a pleasant tanginess that balances the overall taste, creating a delightful experience. The nuanced, medium-bodied cup is perfect for those who appreciate a well-rounded and flavorful coffee.I also appreciate the thoughtful packaging of this coffee. The resealable bag with a pull-tab zip closure ensures the beans stay fresh longer. It's a small detail, but it shows that Ethical Bean cares about preserving the quality of its product and the satisfaction of its customers. In conclusion, the Ethical Bean Lush Medium Dark Roast Coffee is a fantastic choice for coffee lovers who value ethical practices and exceptional taste. With its organic and fair trade certifications, this coffee delivers flavour and contributes to a better world. I highly recommend trying it and savouring every sip of this thoughtfully crafted brew. Smooth
Wonderful coffee. Even better at a great price! Smooth taste. Excellent for french press. I only drink organic coffee as it doesn't give me the "gut rot" and upset stomach that the other highly marketed brands do.

Lush and Superdark
This review for both Lush and Super Dark as it didn't give me the option to review each one. Firstly, I love that the brand is fairI use a manual drip coffee maker, and paper filters by If You Care.Superdark French Roast:When I first bought it, I honestly wanted to try a French roast because I'd never tried it before. The raven/crow on the package made me curious because... Well... I love dark and mysterious. The beans are really dark too, almost black. It's earthy, slightly smokey, strong, and full bodied with definite hints of chocolate. The aroma is subtle. I do not find it bitter or overpowering at all, just really smoothe and well rounded. And of course, it pairs well with chocolate, so if you like mochas or anything chocolatey, this would be a perfect coffee to use as it compliments and enhances the flavour of chocolate and doesn't complete with it.By far one of my favourites.Lush Medium Roast:I have been drinking Superdark for a while and decided to try Lush on Prime Day to see what the medium roast is like. It's definitely rich, as well as earthy and fruity, and a strong zesty aroma. A good wake-me-up.You don't need cream because it's rich and delicious just on its own, but cream really compliments all the flavours and makes for a really good cup of coffee.

Fantastic Coffee!
We used to get pre-ground coffee in big tins at the grocery store for like $18. It was... meh. Nothing special. But we started ordering this almost a year ago and found the taste to be so much better and fresher! We use a Chemex every morning to make our coffees and can dial it in to personal preference. Grinding it takes no time at all, so we're always getting freshly ground coffee. I find this brand and flavour/strength of coffee to be tasty, fresh, and bold but not too strong. It makes a great cuppa joe! We've been ordering it on a subscription for many months now.
