CRUNCHY Cornichons Have a Great Taste!
CRUNCHY, tasty w/o intolerable vinegar sourness..nice mix of spices with a few pearl onions in the jar. Great tiny little gherkins.

The only cornichons worth buying
I've tried a handful of cornichon brands over the years and Maille is the one I keep coming back to. These aren't the vaguely sour, mushy little pickles you get from a generic jar โ they're the real deal. The crunch is the first thing you notice. Firm all the way through, even well into the jar. The brine is sharp, vinegary, and well-seasoned without being overwhelming โ there's actual flavor complexity there, a little herbal, a little mustardy, which is exactly what you want alongside a charcuterie board or tucked into a sandwich. Size is consistent and small the way a proper cornichon should be. Not the bloated "baby dill" situation some brands pass off as cornichons. These are petite, snappy, and exactly what the French intended. They work on everything โ charcuterie, burgers, tartare, pan sauces, cheeseboards, straight out of the jar as a snack. The jar size is generous and they keep well once opened. If you've been settling for grocery store pickles and haven't tried proper cornichons, Maille is the place to start. Once you go this route it's hard to go back to anything else. Worth every penny.

Yummy, crunchy, fancy, fun
De...lish! I love going to high tea at this adorable fancy tea house locally as a silly treat with my girlfriends. On the tiered tray, these little pucker pockets are garnishing. I love the unusual flavor and super crunch but I've never found nor seen them in a store before so I'd buy them there to take home. Now, I have my super crunchy, fancy little sour pickles. I just how cute they finish off a snack tray or how they add pop to some of my favorite dishes. These are fun, and honestly, they are really delicious

Extreme sour - potentially two recipes exist?
I think there's potentially two recipes that exist for this - mine has water fourth, after cucumbers, vinegar, and onion. Most versions I see online list water second, then vinegar. The sourness is over the top in this version, they're definitely an ingredient, and not something most would enjoy having by itself. The flavor is good, but the sour is over powering and unbalanced.
