Equipment rack sturdy, the pointy feet..... Why are there spikes for feet?
Ok I have put together a bunch of equipment racks, 100+ over the years. I have NEVER seen one with Spikes on the feet.... I just left them off, would not recommend putting spikes on any floor surface unless you are in an earthquake zone and want to nail it down. Not sure what they were thinking with design. The equipment rack itself was stable and had no issues, just the pointy feet... Check the pictures out on the listing....

Good looking, great value
I'm using this to hold all of my console development hardware and keep my desk from becoming a disaster. It has done the job wonderfully. Very easy to assemble, solid (I'm not using the spikes jfyi), and good looking. Well worth the money, I will probably buy another to use with actual audio equipment in another room.

Great Audio Rack
The Monolith audio rack is a great piece of equipment at a reasonable price. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble in less than 30 minutes. The fit and finish is above average. There is one set of uprights that are slightly longer than the others - the instructions show them being used between the top and first shelves, but they can be used between any two shelves if you want. The only tool I found useful was a rubber mallet. To assemble the feet, you have insert a threaded cap for the carpet spikes into the bottom of each foot. It is a tight fit. I found using a mallet to tap the cap into the leg was a lot easier than trying to push it in with my hands.

THE CURVED SIDE GOES AGAINST THE WALL
I like the curved-in shelf design it allows space for the hookup-cables and speaker wires so you can set the stand close or against a wall, and I needed it to hug the wall, and it does. I guess if you don`t set it against the wall it would look more stylish with the curved part out.The stand was easy to assemble with no tools required, but if you have weakness in your hands you might use one of those rubber grip helpers, and an adjustable wrench for the spike feet.Sturdy design each shelf holds 75 Lb.. The stand has Low vibration spike feet, you might be able to level the stand with the spikes, but I have not tried that, my turntable can be leveled with it`s feet so I just did that. The stand is a good value for the price. The only con I can think of is that the kit did not include coasters for the spikes to use on hard floors ( I left them off anyway for my carpeted floor so I could slide the unit out from time to time).

Sturdy rack, inexpensive, builds easily. Just as described.
I purchased this stereo shelf as a temporary solution until I build my own custom shelving system. This rack has delayed my project because it works so well, and it is not horrible to look at, either. It builds quite easily, all parts were included, is incredibly sturdy and will more than likely hold more weight than you would want to put on a sub 100 dollar stereo shelf. It holds my AV receiver and 2 amplifiers with ample space above each for proper ventilation. The rack is sturdy enough that I experience no feedback and am able to safely keep my turn-table on top.My only request for the manufacturer would be the option to have 2 'large' shelves, rather than just the one. I plan to add an additional power amp soon, and don't know where it's going to live quite yet.For under 100, you can't go wrong. If you're considering it, go for it. You will be happy. Arrived quickly, also.
