Black Vanilla Moisture and Hold Jelly, Hair Gel For Dry Hair with Shea Butter, Jojoba and Vanilla, 12 Fl Oz

I love this hair gel. It's the only gel / jelly I will use. It smells so amazing and delicious. It provides just the right amount of hold, definition and frizz smoothing benefits for my 2b, caucasian waist length, wavy hair. I appreciate that It's not too heavy for my hair and that it doesn't become too stiff and hard after drying. I apply to freshly washed and conditioned damp hair that has been wrapped in an old length of linen fabric that I use as a towel to absorb some moisture. I first use a leave-in conditioner and then layer this gel over it. I only use a small amount of this gel, rubbing it into my palms and raking it from root to end, scrunching and working it in. After air drying or diffusing, and a quick scrunch, my hair looks fuller, there is less frizz and the wave pattern is more defined. Without adding this to my routine, my hair normally looks nice, but lacks definition. With this gel, I can achieve the most incredible mermaid hair. It really brings out the waves. I have experienced no flaking, irritation or anything else negative. I can revive my waves the next day by simply spraying with water and scrunching a bit.

I essentially really love this product. This is my first time trying this brand. I am now wondering what took me so long to give it a try. I had been searching for a brand of gel that I specifically felt would serve my low-porosity (fine) hair well. After a long search and many failures, I reluctantly decided to try this gel. Basically, because I needed something to work with my hair and not against it, and my experience with hair gel products had not been that good. I was originally attracted to it because of the ingredients (no drying alcohol, no silicones, parabens, mineral oil, etc.) that it mentioned. After careful consideration of trying it, my first usage of it was tremendous! This gel is all that it says and more! When I placed it on my hair, I was still able to comb through it with the gel on it. Tangle-free. This was amazing! Not only was my hair still super soft, but the texture of it felt great. It was soft, subtle, and not greasy-feeling. I had a great hold, but without the stiff feeling that some brands provide, and it looked moisturized. The thickness and consistency of this product are great. A little goes a long way. I thought that I would need to apply it daily, but because it is such a great quality of gel, I only needed to apply water to my hair on the second day, and it still looked fabulous. So, now I apply this gel maybe every other day, which is marvelous, and my hair looks freshly prepared. I love this product so much on my hair that after trying it a few times, I immediately ordered another jar—I didn't want to run out of it. It is definitely a keeper and very useful, especially when I style my hair back in a bun. Best gel ever!

Love this gel, no flakes , and perfect hold for hairstyles. It does not get too hard and holds hair styles all day.

Product has been great. Gel helps keep the curls defined without leaving it feeling heavy or crunchy. It does at first appear heavy when applying to wet hair, but after it dries it is light weight. Product smells great and a little goes a long way.

I love this! It works so well in my hair. My curls are so defined and soft.

This gel is ok. Pretty sticky until dry, then a bit filmier feeling then most. Not very good for a second day restyling product. Smells good at least.

I love this gel!! I stopped using gels in my hair years ago, but sadly I still need some when I pull my hair back. My hair tends to get frizzy in the front and sides. It's my dry spot. I used many gels and this one is the only one that keeps my hair nicely in place. I put a little bit on the brush and brush back. Repeat on the sides. I wear glasses and that doesn't help my side "edges." I'm not a fan of hair spray and although some hair milk has helped, for a gel, this one is my go to. I wish it came in a bigger container. I have thick curly hair. This is my first time using, I'm on my second container. It lasted about a Month, I believe.

I tried so many different products for my twist-out natural style. This is the best jelly so far. It dries quickly and holds nicely with a shine—no alcohol, parabens, or petrolatum. Works best on clean, conditioned hair. Get every strand and pay attention to your ends. Trim them if you have to. Do it your way. Rub some light moisture product or a small amount of the Black Vanilla Moisture Hold Jelly on your hands when taking your twist out. My hair looks so good..

The scent is lovely. But, the gel does very little for my hair, other than making it smell good! It's very expensive, but not worth the price.
