Samsung Series 5 DV80CGC0A0ABEU with OptimalDry and SmartThings, Heat Pump Tumble Dryer, 8kg

Dries quite quickly, easy to use though I could do without the app, didn't add any utility. Fairly noisy, it's not super pleasant to be in the same room as it, and I'd be concerned about disturbing downstairs neighbours if I had any. Very energy efficient thanks to the heat pump. Easy to clean out the filter. It's extremely heavy, impossible to safely move this without 2 people. Big enough for a large amount of 2 people's clothes in.

This is our first heatpump dryer and it'sa world away from the tumble dryers of the past, a load of towels will dry in under 1hr which is better than our last condenser dryer and it's way cheaper to run too. Just don't keep opening the door to check on the load or it wil take forever to dry. It's easy to use, large capacity drum, easy to empty the water and the filters are easy to maintain. Highly recommended.

I haven't got anything negative to say about this dryer other than its seriously pricey for a tumble dryer though it is new tech, I think the wifi is a bit over the top for a tumble dryer not sure what the point is unless it could collect the clothes load the dryer and unload that would be great but switching in on seems pointless since I have to load the thing in the first place! plus not really loving the music tract at the end of the cycle again just a bleep would have adequate.love the ability to plumb it in so you don't have to keep emptying the drawer that would be a serious pain so well done for supplying extra tubes to plumb it in.

First Dryer we received was faulty kept hearing a loud clocking sound ,Amazon sorted out a replacement for the next day then had to wait over a week for the faulty one to be collected. This one so far seems lovely and quiet does the job it’s supposed to matches our Samsung washing Machine overall happy with our purchase

Slightly longer cycle times than our old vented dryer, but uses a fraction of the amount of electricity the old one did. We’ve had this a few months now and roughly speaking we’re using around 0.8kWh of electricity to dry a ‘normal’ mixed load of laundry. App control is good, allowing you to set schedules and use it on the cheaper off-peak tariff as well. If I’d known just how much more efficient a heat pump dryer could actually be, I’d have replaced our old one a long time ago!

Worst tumble dryer I’ve ever bought. Makes clothes stink damp, takes hours to dry a load, much longer than any other tumble dryer I’ve had.No way to pull out the bottom filter to clean it.Doesn’t let out any source of heat like others I’ve had.Don’t waste your money unless you want smelly clothes.

This machine can be placed anywhere. It's literally plug and play. It collects the water from the clothes in a small tank at the top which is easy to pull out and empty. It does make a bit of noise, but way less than the washing machine. It's clever in the way it starts on a regular 3 hours drying cycle and then it detects when the clothes are dry and stops after 1 hour and a bit. I had it for 24 hours now and I couldn't stop washing everything in the house. It's pouring down outside but our clothes are ready for Monday morning.
