Automotive paint is extremely thin, just two post-it notes thick typically. With that in mind, I try not to polish my vehicles unless absolutely necessary. When I see spider-webbing or swirl marks however, the urge is strong to bring the paint back to like-new.For those minor corrections, Koch-Chemie Shine Speed Polish is just what the doctor ordered. Paired with a gentle finish polishing pad, it takes out those lightest of defects in no time at all. The spider-webbing from contact washes disappears, and the factory gloss comes right back.Splatter is minimal, and this polish stays workable for a decent amount of time without drying out. It comes off easily with a microfiber towel soaked with rinseless wash. It also contains trace amounts of SiO2, which helps leave a hydrophobic protective coating on the paint.Lightly polish and protect in one step! So non-aggressive even a beginner can use it safely. Like all the Koch-Chemie products I've purchased, highly recommended.

I tested this polish on the hood of my car which is Black Pearl paint. I used an orbital buffer and the polish applied effortlessly and evenly. The temperature outside was in the mid '70s on a cloudy day, so the paint wasn't hot. However, I did find after applying the polish to just one half of the hood, I had to quickly wipe it down with a microfiber towel or else it would have been even more difficult to remove. So it definitely takes a bit of elbow grease to remove the polish once it's applied but not to exorbitantly difficult. It left a nice mirror finish on the clear coat. It also has an appealing fragrance, I would say something close to almost a brandy or Apple type liquor.

This speed polish is not as pictured where you can place dabs of it on a polishing pad, as it is a liquid. This works well for a quick polish by hand or even with a buffer, but generally when I pull out the buffer, I am doing a full clean and polish with a multi product group. While it is premium priced, the brand is generally good quality. This is good for someone just wanting to do a quick shine on their car in the driveway without going through the whole clay bar process for a real deep clean and shine.
