solidly built and reliable
This thing is solidly built, the threads are well machined, it screws on very easily and when you tighten it just a little there are NO leaks. The on/off handle is long enough to make it simple to turn on and off. This is my second one...the first one has been in use for three years with zero problems.

Good Brass Fitting
Brass fittings have been the standard in long lasting water control. These are excellent and quite durable. The only risks are that hoses now have aluminum fitting and with the brass one may get some electro-corrosive effects.

Temporary spigot leak fix
Solid and works great. Outdoor spigot was leaking so as a temporary fix, I attached this before the hose.

Works Well, But You Must Keep and Eye on It
I have several of these, and they work well. One thing I do not like is the on-off handle. It is long for ease of use, but if I am dragging the hose around, it will get caught on something and turn on.

Very solid and durable
I had a cheaper version of the shut-off valve, and they would always leak or be hard to open/close. Not with this one.

There's a reason this is the third time I've ordered these valves. They have a bigger hole than similar versions and flow more water.

Looks good but don't be fooled
Looks good but don't be fooled I ordered a pair and they both leaked. Returned and tried a replacement set. That pair leaked as well. 4 out of 4 leaked from the brass threads connecting to garden hoses. I tried replacing the washers, stacking washers and tried 3 different hoses to make sure and they all leaked the same way every time.

I will never go back to plastic connectors. This was a little stiff and leaked at first, but once it got used a few times the lever got easier to move and the water stopped dripping.
