Just Love This Coffee Grnder
It does a nice job of grinding beans, and you can adjust how fine you want them. It's really classy antique-sh looking so It would be a same to keep it hidden in the cabinet wtih the bag of beans. If you have a large family of coffee drinkers you may want to go with one of the electric models. Update: Aug 7,2014 and it's still grinding my coffee without any problems. The draw could be a bit larger, but like I said above this unit is good for one coffee drinker. If your brewing a full pot I'd advise getting an electric grinder.

fun little grinder
This was perfect for what I was looking for. I generally drink coffee out of a single serve kuerig but have started grinding my own coffee. This takes about 2 minutes to grind one cups worth of beans and that is all the storage tray will hold. I love the smell while as it grinds and my kids doing and seeing the results. If you are in a hurry, don't buy a hand crank grinder. Also, it looks great and is a conversation starter in the kitchen.

small but beautiful and consistent grinds
this is a great manual grinder looks nice sitting on my counter and is adjustable from fine to very course grinds my only complaint is that there is a gap between the metal cup and the wood and you have to shake the beans in to the grinder once in a while their are better grinders out there but only at 3x the price update: the handle metal wears out very quickly and needs repair get bent and you need to be careful still a great product for the low price. but if you plan on using this everyday I would invest in a higher quality grinder

Cheap crap
I guess you get what you pay for. I have used this coffee grinder for about a month and it has done the job reasonably well on a daily basis. However the metal is very cheap and basically fatigues over time. I have found that the pressure needed to grind coffee is fairly high and the metals used in this design are soft and not up to the job. After about a month, the handle gave at the connection to the burr shaft. The handle now rotates freely. An no, the burr was not too tight. It's poor quality materials. Basically, save your money and invest in something that will last. If you're looking for an ornament, this will look good but that's all.

Not as pictured
Ordered in black wood two times. Received brown wood both times. On one of them the wood top was cracked all the way across.

Inexpensive alternative
Beats the price of an electric grinder and burns a few calories too. I had considered several other grinders, all electric and just didn't want to pay the price. Then suddenly I came upon the advertisement for this manual grinder. Can't beat it really, as it gets the job done, burns a few calories while doing it and is inexpensive besides.

There's good and bad
Ok, the good first. It's very cute. The consistency of the grounds is great. It's not terribly expensive. And the bad. It almost seems like it was made purely for ornamental purposes, except that it *does* do a good job grinding. It feels very cheap. Like someone else mentioned, it screams "made in China" with the cheapest possible materials. The bean holder holds about half a cup of beans, but the output drawer probably holds maybe a couple tablespoons. I did one third of a cup, and I had to empty it out of the main box area after pulling out a very full drawer. I don't plan on using it daily - it's just for when I go camping and don't have electricity. I don't think it could handle the daily grind. (Get it? "daily grind"? I kill myself sometimes...)
