Excellent karaoke machine – highly recommend! Easy to use, modern and reliable
We absolutely love this karaoke machine! We've been using it regularly, and it has exceeded our expectations. It comes with everything described in the product listing, and the sound quality and power are excellent. We've used it for parties of up to 40 people, and it performed really well with plenty of volume and great audio quality. The setup was straightforward, the wireless microphones work great, and having the lyrics display makes the experience even better. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price and a fantastic choice for anyone looking to host fun karaoke nights at home or for small gatherings. Highly recommended!

A Portable Karaoke Machine Done Right
[Update] Now that the issues with my original purchase have been resolved, I’ll provide a more complete review for this unit. I looked at a lot of options as karaoke is a big thing among family and friends. Karaoke started in Japan (Kara means empty and Oke is short for orchestra. So that’s accompaniments) and became serious business in China. Originally the hardware was designed for KTV studios and the song library was based on local storage. But now we are in a transition where song libraries are stored in the cloud to have more strict enforcement of IP rights and frequent updates. As a result some companies struggled and some newer ones are doing better. I owned the old style karaoke machines (DVD player style with mics and DVD or HDD song library). They stopped working and then I built my own karaoke home kits with a laptop or Android TV box. This is the interface to a song library and media player. Add a couple of mics (wired is better but if you want wireless go with UHF mics for less latency) and a mixer and you get a basic kit. Basic mixers will not have effects (reverb/echo etc.) but the better ones do. Then hook up the video output to the HDTV and mixed sound output from the mixer to home audio system. Now you have a karaoke kit that beats 90% of the off the shelf boxes. But the home kit has its disadvantages. You got wires/cables going on the floor, you need to adjust mixer settings a lot, and it’s not portable. And feeding the vocal back to Android TV for recording/scoring is really complicated. Then comes the Ikarao. Ikarao does not necessarily have better hardware. Where it succeeded is integration. Think of the iPhone vs cameras, GPS, dumb phones, computers etc. it’s not better than each individual product for what it does but it can do basic jobs of others together. That’s integration. And Ikarao did a good job at that. Pros of the Ikarao: The tablet: The Cortex A55 processor on the X2 is much better than most TV/streaming boxes’. It runs Android 13 and thus provides a platform for different karaoke apps. You just need to find your favorite and side load via the USB port. There is no play store but with 32GB storage you don’t want to load too much stuff on the machine. I loaded a couple of karaoke programs and they work really well. And the 10 inch touch screen is helpful (but you have to be at the screen because there is no remote). IO ports: 2x 1/4” mic/guitar ports for external mics. This is the most important feature for my use case. I plan to use better mics and they are often wired. The sound: The speakers are quite decent with 70w RMS output. I spent quite a bit on car stereo when replacing all speakers and adding amps on my cars, and have a good frame of reference for sound quality. The Ikarao speakers can’t beat your home sound system or luxury car premium sound. But they are pretty good for the money. Wireless mics are decent with little latency in the new production models. And you can add DSP effects for the vocals (but a bit too strong in my opinion). Non-audiophile users will like them. They are portable. You can bring to parties and outdoor events and have some fun. At the same time, they are expandable. You can add wired mics, connect to HDTV and/or home sound system for a better experience if you care. Cons: The IO ports are crowded in the back panel and would have been better to have RCA audio output instead of the 3.5mm AUX OUT. For the larger X1/X2, there is a lot of room to arrange the ports properly. But not a deal breaker. Documentation could be better. There’s an online user manual but I double people read it. And proper documentation can set the expectations for the product (Apple can sell iPhones but wireless service is not included. Here you buy a karaoke machine but not karaoke content service.). The charger requirement is not documented in the fast start guide. It requires a laptop capacity USB-C charger (<65W). If people don’t read the manual and just use a phone charger to charge, there will be a lot of dead machines after the initial weeks or months after the first charge runs out. Bottom line: A good product with decent hardware and proper integration for the masses. For audiophile sound quality you can connect to your home audio system.

great karaoke system
The ikarao machine has been a great addition to our home entertainment setup. The sound quality is surprisingly powerful, which clear vocals and strong speaker performance that easily fills a room. The touchscreen interface is intuitive and responsive, making it simple to browse songs and adjust settings. Battery life is solid for portable use, and the overall build quality feels durable and premium. Whether for family gatherings, parties, or casual singing sessions, it consistently delivers a fun experience. It is a great vale for the price. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality karaoke system.

Almost Perfect
I’ve used my X2 for a good week now. It is an excellent all-in-one machine if you want something portable and elegant with minimal wiring. I have mine sitting on a 35mm speaker stand. Initially I bought this to feed HDMI output to my Hue 8K Sync Box which can sync my Hue lights to incoming audio as well as output that audio to my surround sound for a truly unique and immersive experience. Unfortunately I found out that the HDMI output from the X2 only transfers video data, and that is by design as unfiltered audio may damage speakers. I ended up using iLightShow app on my phone that can pick up audio from my phone’s mic and sync my Hue lights to that audio; it’s not great with some lag, but it’s passable, and the X2 speaker is plenty loud for the space I have. Here are some more positives: - Excellent build quality. It’s hefty in a good way and appears to be built from quality materials. It even looks to be weather resistant with rubber covers covering all jacks and rubber buttons, but I wouldn’t risk it in the rain. The strap looks to be good quality as well although I haven’t used it. - Setup is quick and intuitive like what you’d expect from a smart tablet. It didn’t even come with a manual, but there is a digital manual on the tablet if you want to check a button’s functionality. - The swivel tablet is easy to use running a basic and intuitive OS. - Mics hide out of sight when not in use. This unit is just really sleek. I read people notice there is a slight latency with these Bluetooth mics, but it’s not noticeable to me. - Along with YouTube and KaraFun that comes with it, it also comes with a Chinese app called 全民K歌 with a ton of Chinese karaoke songs. The app registration costs about $44 for 2 years and you can also pay monthly/quarterly/annually, but it is a bit of a pain to make the payment. You’ll need to pay via WeChat with payment setup. A couple of negatives that keeps it from perfection IMO: - Tablet is a bit laggy when compared to a regular tablet especially when you’re typing on that onscreen keyboard. Luckily you can use the mics to speak what you want to search for into the search box. - The front LEDs on the speaker is not really noticeable even in a dark setting. To me it’s just a gimmick. - I wish the tablet and the front LEDs would go to “sleep” mode when I “close” the tablet instead of having to turn it off every time. - Not all 10” screen protectors work with this tablet. Just make sure the one you get is 9.5” x 6” or less if you do get one. - There is a small button on the mic that doesn’t appear to do anything when I short press it or long press it. - I believe there are two versions of this machine. The one I got has a USB-C charging port and came with a USB cable, but no wall charger, so you’ll have to get one yourself.

HDMI with no audio?
Packaging was nice, it was packaged in a box with soft foam silhouettes that surround all of the parts. The quality of the screen, mics and box were nice and clean. Setup was very easy, with a wizard to set things up. Connecting to YouTube was easy. The sound was pretty impressive for such a small box. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the HDMI interface was video-only. One of the reasons that I bought this particular model was so that I could hook it up to my theater system. The video worked fine, but there was no audio out of the HDMI interface. Very odd, because an HDMI interface as defined as: "An HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a digital interface standard for transmitting high-quality, uncompressed video and compressed or uncompressed audio over a single cable". Anyway, I returned it and am going to look for one with video and audio out of the HDMI. It was pretty disappointing as I really wanted to keep the unit. It was pretty well done for a good price. I only knocked off a star because if it had audio out of the HDMI I would have gave it 5 stars.

The Best Portable Karaoke Machine
This is a high quality karaoke machine for adult or teenage parties. It has excellent sound and features and can be connected to multiple devices including external speakers. It connects easily to a monitor of TV via HDMI cable so lyrics can be displayed on a large screen if desired. It can be a bit complex to fully understand and utilize all it's features. I highly recommend watching some YouTube videos. I also recommend subscribing to it's Karaoke song module. That provides access to a lot of songs not otherwise available. You can also utilize some YouTube songs with lyrics. The dual microphones are a big plus. The machine can be mounted on an adjustable stand. I recommend purchasing one.

Great machine all around!
Long battery life, excellent sound. My wife loves this gift and we use it all the time. We even bring it on travel and to friends houses and everyone loves it! Works great, easy to use and no issues or complaints.

Great machine
Easy to setup and connect to the internet.Sound quality is good, though when singing it seems to add a very slight echo to your voice. This would easily be a five star review except for one small issue. In the Included Karafun app in the upper right corner of the touch screen there is a small symbol that is utilized to enlarge the lyrics to full screen. It is right on the edge of the display and too close to a fast forward symbol so it takes numerous tries to not only avoid fast forward but to get the lyrics to full screen. A software update could solve this issue and make app even more user friendly than it already is. Otherwise it's a great machine that is loaded with features that will keep everyone entertained for hours. The display screen is large and easy to read, the battery life is good and the build quality is excellent. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Karaoke Player
The Ikarao Break X2 Karaoke unit is a smallish looking unit but it packs a lot of features in its housing. Two wireless mic’s, different settings for them from speech to full sound karaoke style with echo. A bass boost switch that actually adds a proper amount of base tone to a host of other features. A full 10” screen similar to an iPad that allows you to search your favourite YouTube videos as well as a few other preloaded apps. I’ve used this machine twice in the last two weeks and it’s clear, loud enough for a party room of decent size and easy to use. The battery supply states several hours of fun and I have no reason to think otherwise. I will give it a good workout at our building Christmas Party soon and add to my review after that. But right now I would say it’s worth the cost. PS: Ikarao is the manufacturer of JBL speakers so they are experts in sound quality and it shows with this unit.

Compact, fully integratable system with great sound.
Super happy with product. Screen acts like an iPad with built-in apps, touchscreen and manuverable. Fully integrated system, works with wifi/Bluetooth to connect with cell phone, computer, has all necessary aux inputs to connect to tv, 2 more wired mics and even a guitar. Sound is great on speaker and Bluetooth mics. You can use just to play music if you like. Well designed and compact. Lights are a nice touch. Only small issue is the guitar sound could be louder but maybe I just haven't figured out the setting yet. Overall great product and fun to use.
