This arrived in an orange metal toolbox, but the metal is very very thin and doesn't feel like something built to last. The contents are just loose inside, no compartments, foam or separators so it's metal on metal on the machine. It does come with instructions but these are very basic. It also came with a pair of pipe cutters that are a ratchet type. It says they can cut PVC pipe (and others up to 42mm). I cut 41 PVC pipe and they were poor, the damaged and distorted the pipe by the time they finished cutting - so they are worthless. The machine is half plastic which feels cheap and the remainder a block of metal which appears well made. The digital control feels very cheap and flimsy and one button sticks making it difficult to use.I set the temperature of the machine and found it varied by 15 to 20 degrees depending on where you measured, so a little inconsistent. The machine has it's own stand but the connection is very loose so it wobbles a lot. Also, the stand has no feet just a smooth bar so as soon as you touch it, the sliding begins. For something this hot, it would have been better with rubber feet or something to keep it in place. The temperature gauge shows you what the temperature is set to, not what it actually is (at least it was in my case). So I had to use a digital measure just to check.Considering you only need specific parts of this machine, there is a lot of exposed metal to burn yourself. It feels like this could have some safety features to prevent accidental burn, in particular as this slides everywere. All in all the machine is ok, but the supplied cutters are awful and there are numerous small niggles that I think need to be fixed - I would not recommend this.
