Easy to setup, take down and thanks to large window read teleprompter
I have been using a smaller 11" Teleprompter for a few years. It’s a small plastic device that attaches to cameras through lens rings. It all feels a little flimsy. The NEEWER Teleprompter X16 is a step change from that device. First the viewing window is a much larger 16”; that that small step let me move the camera back from its current home and allowed me to use a wider-angle lens for a more natural look. The build of the device is also a complete step up, it’s not a plastic device. The camera mounts to a plate; and the plate rests in a height adjustable head. The head sits on a long metal rail. The rail attaches directly to a tripod. All the connections are solid; and lock down tight. It’s easy to get things level. The camera lens rests inside a soft box style hood that cinches around the lens. The Rail and lens mount are rated to 20kg; so, you aren’t limited to a small mirrorless camera. The teleprompter uses a tablet as the display for the text on the teleprompter, my large and heavy iPad pro 12.9 rested well and securely in the tablet holder and filled the prompter with text. IN use I found the mirror didn’t introduce a lot of purple fringing; there was a little hint of purple where my lights had hotspots on my desk. Otherwise, it was not there. Neewer have a teleprompter app that will scroll text on a constant rate; or you can control it (including stop start) with the included Bluetooth remote (though batteries aren’t included – you need two aaa batteries to use it.) The app store says the app doesn’t track you as you use it; and it doesn’t need you to register anything (if you use the guest mode.) You can copy and paste text into the app easily to get speeches setup. The app lets you vary the speed the text moves; though I find those problematic when giving technical speech as some words just take longer to say. The remote lets you pause to catch up but it’s a tough trick to pull off. I use another app already that that tracks what you say and scrolls the text automatically which I find gives a better result. If you are shooting the speaker, you can control the flow with the remote for them. Setting up and putting away is easy; it ships in a carry case. The whole device folds up and you can put it into the foam cutout. You don’t need to save a variety of adaptors to set it up. This makes it a huge step up for use from the smaller plastic unit that I kept in a cardboard box. The case also makes it more portable if you need to carry it away from the studio to conferences.

Easy Video Improvement
This is a super premium feeling piece of equipment, I can see why it's more expensive than I expected. Once it's all connected (use a good tripod as this can get quite front heavy of you use a lighter camera and tip over), it works really really well. You need to keep the glass clean and they do provide an excellent flight style case to help do that, but if you do, it provides excellent video quality, with a better connection to the speaker as they can look at the camera while still seeing their script. If you are looking to make an easy improvement to something like In House training videos, or promotional material for a trade show this is a great item. There's nothing worse that having people either freestyle the speech and ending up with a load of either cuts, or uuuhm's and aaah's, or rustling paper notes during the recording. This will work with iPad or android (or windows tablets if you emulate android) and while I was hoping to use it with an old iPad that turned out o have iOS 10.4 as it's latest version so I couldnt use it. It would be nice if the newer app supported older versions as it doesn't need all the new features, and it would make this a bit cheaper to get going. It's not for everyone, but if you need a starter to intermediate option I can't see how you could do much better than this.

High quality item with a protective hard case
The first thing you will notice when unpacking this is the hard carry case - this should protect the teleprompter when you are transporting it - and it makes the device look high-end. The teleprompter was well packaged, the glass has a protective film on both sides to prevent scratches, although I did worry I was going to scratch the glass when packing it back into the case. This item is heavy, but it does allow you to adjust how you mount it so that you can balance it. I fitted it onto a Manfrotto travel tripod with a Nikon Z7 and iPad Pro 12.9 - although I recommend a more substantial tripod especially if using larger cameras. You can adjust the part where the camera fits by raising the height of it, and also being able to lower the screen, this should allow a range of different sized cameras to be used. It comes with a remote control that you connect via bluetooth. I installed the Neewer Teleprompter app which allowed me to reverse the text so that you can read it from the screen. I used a 12.9” iPad Pro which fitted perfectly into the adjustable section to hold the device.

NEEWER: Teleprompter X16 with Remote Control
All contents come firmly packed inside a carry case which is brilliant; the case itself is quite decent and there is a good level thickness of foam that surrounds the teleprompter which certainly gives you some peace of mind during transit. I would highly recommend a sturdy video type tripod to mount this on; it's a fairly big teleprompter, combined with a camera and tablet, you're going to want something reliable (I used it with my NEEWER 79" Heavy Duty video tripod). Instructions use both text and photos to explain how the teleprompter is setup and it is easy to follow. The same goes for the remote control that connects to your phone via Bluetooth which in turn can be used with their App. Overall, it's a good teleprompter, especially if you're looking for one that's of a decent size.

Great teleprompter
It’s very good, much better than anything I would have been able to make myself! This Teleprompter comes with its own strong carrying bag and includes a remote-control device, phone holder mount and instructions. That teleprompter makes a great impression in front of the camera. This piece of equipment is very useful for the streamer and filmmaker, fairly easy to use and quick to set up. The camera can be mounted landscape or vertically and you can also mount your phone as the camera. The writing is perfectly clear. The screen doesn't give any glare from any angles. Great top a quality product. Recommend it.

Great teleprompter but fiddly to put away
This teleprompter which uses your tablet works really well with the app. Setup was relatively easy and doesn't seem to move when the tripod is moved around but there is a possibility it may angle down if heavy handed so best to set it up and leave it. The filter works really well and there is no vision of the text from within the cover and the image is bright and clear. The app allows you to change the size of the text and colour for ease of reading. I would say my 11" tablet was maybe a little small as I had to make the text quite large so if you have a larger tablet or maybe an external screen this would work well. The remote is responsive but clicky and doesn't include batteries. It comes in a good case and is protected but putting it away is fiddly as you need to have the glass at the correct height to clear the shoe when folding up and if you cont keep the foam you may scratch the glass inside.

Very Good Autocue
Neewer have made some excellent products over recent years and this is another example. A decent sized teleprompter for up to 16 inch tablets. It is well constructed and easily fitted together. The glass reflection screen is crystal clear and the mounting plate attaches to most tripods. It could be used with pretty much any DSLR/Mirrorless camera or pro camcorder. Helps to give professional results for presenterrs and those doing pieces to camera, whether in a studio or outside. You can also download the Neewer Telepromter App to the tablet and control the text and scroll speed via a remote control, which is really handy. It's not the cheapest product out there, but it is one of the best that offers value for money for the size and functionality to get professional results.

Great teleprompter
I've never used or even seen a teleprompter in real life before so I was excited to give this a try. Supports tablets up to 16 inches. The mounting plate attached to my tripod without any issues. The glass is clear. The Neewer Telepromter app is really good. It allows you to control the text and scroll speed via a remote control. A well made teleprompter that is worth the money if you're looking for a professional video recording setup.

A versatile teleprompter with impressive portability and sturdy build
I have always been looking for a decent teleprompter to improve my video production workflow, and this NEEWER Teleprompter X16 came in handy. Have been using it a couple of times, and it is working great! Straight out of the box, it’s ready to use with no assembly needed, which was a huge plus. I use it for recording online courses and it keeps me looking straight at the camera, maintaining that crucial eye contact with my audience. The 16" beam-splitter glass is crystal clear, and I can read my script from a good distance away. The RT113 remote paired easily with my phone, making it simple to scroll through scripts without interrupting my flow. The quick release plate is compatible with my Manfrotto tripods, and switching my camera between the teleprompter and tripod is super simple. However, it took me a bit to get used to the app interface, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. The teleprompter’s portability and sturdy build are impressive. Overall, I feel it would be a solid investment for anyone serious about professional-looking video content.
