Bistro Timer, Plastic

Originally bought to time French press brewing but realized can be used for tea (especially herbal) brewing time. Now it's a perfect cup of tea and coffee without the timing guesswork.

It is very small, but works well and is now in use.

It's very small and looks and feels a bit cheap. There are rough edges on the plastic mouldings. Would be a cute, functional novelty if better executed.

This is a good idea - I am always forgetting how long until I plunge, and it makes a difference it you leave it too long/ too short a period of time. It clips onto the cafetière, which is good. Frustratingly, although sold as a 4 minute timer, this times a minute longer, so doesn’t give the perfect results wanted.

I bought these for the French presses we serve to the table. The customers love watching them count down. I realized way after I ordered that they clip to the stem of the press. Perfection!

Ansich alles perfekt aber eine Abweichung von 50 Sekunden bei 4 Minuten ist nicht okay!

It sticks on well to the french press steel thingy, and times for around 4min 15sec to my testing. But it is very flimsy, I feel like if I dropped it it would just fully come apart even though made from plastic and all the sand would fall out.

Va da sé che, non essendoci un allarme acustico, l'utilità è limitata, dovendo in pratica stare a guardare fino al momento dell'esaurimento della sabbia. Si tratta di un puro sfizio (da togliersi solo al giusto prezzo), molto grazioso, con cui dare un tocco particolare alla propria "pausa caffé".
