X3 Cordless Tattoo Gun Kit Rotary Cartridge Machine

This is my second Dragon hawk, first one has pedal and corded, absolutely love it have had it for almost 4 yrs. Decided to upgraded to battery operated cordless dragon hawk. I am very pleased with this tattoo pen/gun. Smooth, and batteries last long time. One battery to do this tattoo, 2 1/2 hrs still had bar to go. And still had 2nd battery full and ready to go if needed

This is a great tattoo gun for beginners, much easier to handle than a classic tattoo machine. I didn't give it five stars because the kit could come with some more fake skins since beginners need a lot of practice. The one it comes with is pretty small as well. You'll probably also need some stencil paper which is not included, to transfer drawings onto the fake skin. Otherwise, a solid kit.

Basically everything you need to get started with doing your own tattoos is right here in this kit! The gun itself, with two batteries, the ubiquitous bottles of black ink you'll need to 'dip your tips along with ink cups you'll undoubtedly need, fan & point cartridges for doing fills and fine lines...and of course PRACTICE SKINS 😃 I come from the old school of tattoo guns that use the coils/vibrating armature type, so having a reciprocating armature powered by a motor seemed like a really nice way to control the penetration of the needle(s) in the cartridges. The speed/voltage control on the back ofvthe battery is super easy to adjust, up or down - just by pressing the button that's labeled to indicate the action. The whole thing, as assembled with the cartridge battery is very easy to handle & hold onto. Not heavy in the slightest! Since I'm new to using a battery on the back of the gun instead of a power cable with a foot pedal for speed, it was a little of a learning curve but after drawing a few geometric line designs on a practice skin - it began to feel pretty natural. The operation is smooth - barely any vibration - and compared to all my coil operated handpieces, it's very quiet! The batteries do attach via a threaded connection - I'm not sure if there's a way to attach a pedal/cable to this device but I could probably use it long term with the battery without much difficulty. The stroke goes out to about 3mm on the provided cartridges so the depth of the needle penetration is well within usable limits. These are some truly long lasting batteries too! I'd venture to say that a person could operate for several hours using one battery while charging the other, for a virtual marathon in inking. It feels good in my hand, runs very smoothly and after a bit more practice, I'll try doing a few outlines (on real skin) to see how it goes. I can't see any reason why a beginner wouldn't love this machine - it's a really great tool to get into inking. My two thumbs up for a well made, albeit slightly modernized version of proven concept! Time to spread that ink around you all!

This is a great started kit that comes with everything you need to start practicing the art of tattoo. The tattoo pen is of great quality for the asking price. Professional tattoo artists might want to look elsewhere for their primary tattoo machine. This machine has needle depth adjustments with the twist of of grip. This adjustment clicks into place to lock in the adjustment. It also has voltage adjustment, but that's about it. No stroke adjustment on this one. Two batteries are sufficient and each had a pretty good battery life. They also included two USB C charging cords for each of these batteries. The batteries are propriety it seems, which means you cannot use RCA batteries or RCA to power supplies. With this set, make sure you're charged up because once those two batteries die, you'll have no other option than to stop and charge. I don't want to comment on the kit components too much, other than it's nicer than nothing. Using this wireless tattoo machine, I was able to insert one of my own 1205RL cartridges, and it produced clean, full lines. I liked that the batteries lasted long enough for me to practice with a 5"x8" sized graphic. I also liked the indents in the front end of the machine as they helped with grip.

Got one practice skin done in an hour came back a few hours later to do another with a new cartridge and it would no longer turn on. Tried charging the batteries using different cartridges lowering the voltage nothing worked it would no longer turn on just had E2 on the display and I couldn’t find any information to help me fix it. It Worked great at first very very disappointed it stopped working.

I'm just an amateur who's practicing on rubber skin, so I can't offer a pro opinion, but what this kit lacks in variety, it makes up for in focus and quality. A lot of black ink, some nice ink cups, a few good needles, and you're pretty much set once you get more than the one practice skin included here. The pen itself is a comfortable hold, which is nice, and the removable power source is also solid. You won't get all of the extra inks, razors, balms, and whatever else that some other kits offer, but that's all extraneous stuff anyway. This is a good a place as any to start.
