Great trimmer! Used it for a couple of days and it works well. Clean, even trim with no irritation. Easy to use and feels solid. Very happy so far!

Works but is a bit toy like
This version of trimmer is really toy'ish, it seem light and easily destructible. I had the previous version of this and it lasted me about 5-6 years and still felt robust, only replaced it as the battery started to die quickly and I broke the attachment.This one, even the attachment, feels flimsy. When I am trimming and any force it feels like the attachment is moving around. Also, trying to do half-size cuts is a no, you have to put it on the whole number as it just moves back from half way's to full number with your hand unknowingly when trimming.Probably wouldn't by this again as the overall quality of this has really gone down hill, however it does trim well enough. Time will tell how long it actually lasts.

Excellent Build Quality, Easy To Use, Great Shave, Long Battery Value For Money & Easy To Clean
When I opened up the box I was struck by the clean looks and the subtle two-tone black and white colourway of the Phillips Beard Trimmer. It now takes pride of place alongside my electric toothbrush on the bathroom shelf.As soon as I picked up the shaver, I instantly noticed the nice matte finish, textured grip zones and how easily it sat in my hand. A quick charge and a simple adjustment of the guard length and it was ready to go. FYI, the plug also has a LED light that indicates when the Beard Trimmer is charging.There are loads of options when it comes to setting the height of the beard trim you want from 0.5mm which is almost a wet shave (what I prefer) up to 10mm great if you are after a tidy-up for a full-length beard). And once in place, the guard does not move, giving you the confidence to have a quick and efficiency beard trim.The stainless-steel blades were nice and sharp making a clean cut without pulling or tugging at my facial hair. And After the shave, I easily removed the head for a quick wash under the tap and it was all clean and ready for next time.

Update - first unit failed but was replaced under warranty
I bought this in February and for the first 6 months it worked well, easy to adjust and with a good cut at a good price.However after 6 months it stopped holding charge, a days charging would only run for about 30 seconds. I may have got a bad one but I have seen other people with similar reports.Update: Phillips warranty process was relatively straight forward but does require a magnify glass to read serial and model numbers off the old device. The new one arrived within the week and is working well. I’ve changed the score to 4 stars as the trimmer is very good while it works but can’t give 5 stars due to the failure

Don't buy - plenty of reviews to match this one!
So I Bought in September 2024.Used twice weekly max to keep beard short. However as of today no longer holds any charge. My Braun one i've had 3 years kept as a spare and still works great.Won't be buying again!

Purchased in October 2023. Regularly used (obviously!) The stopped charging in Dec '24.Being a cheap product I suppose this is to be expected but just be warned, this life cycle seems to be relatively short if you look at other reviews here.It seems to be the case with other people that this only designed to last the customer a certain amount of time. So you get what you pay for (even with the Philips brand..!)Other points: I found the battery life to be fine for my preference. The quality of the product is well made (all plastic), good feel to it, charger point can come out very easily though not sure why it's designed that way. Easy to clean out and a nice size to fit into toiletries bag.
