Proscenic 811GB Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with Boundary Magnetic Marker, Electric Control Water Tank(3 optional speeds) & Slim Design for Hard Floor and Carpets

I've waited a few months before writing a review, because I saw some other people had reported failures after extended use. I'm happy to report that mine has been fine in that respect. Some 10 years ago, I had a second-generation Roomba robot vacuum cleaner, which was good. It worked well for a while, but I stopped using it when my living circumstances changed, and I no longer lived somewhere it was practical to keep the floor clear of obstacles like cables and shoelaces. Just recently I've built an extension, and so find myself with about 45 square metres of hard floor, which I know can get pretty revolting if not regularly mopped. So I looked for a robot mop at a reasonable price, and this is the one I chose. It comes with two swappable hoppers. One is just a large dust compartment. When this one is fitted it just vacuums. The other has a smaller dust compartment, a water tank and a cloth that attaches at the back. When this is fitted, it vacuums as before, but it also drip-feeds water into the cloth as it drags it behind itself. This does a pretty good job of picking up dust and bits while they're dry, then mopping the floor afterwards. Some robots build a map of your room, and use this to systematically visit every part of the floor. This one doesn't -- it follows the same approach as the early Roombas: it semi-randomly switches between a variety of behaviours. Following walls; zig-zagging when it bumps into things; spiralling. The overall effect is that it takes a pretty daft route, but manages to cover the whole of my floor before its battery runs out. When the battery is low, it stops vacuuming, and continues to roam until it stumbles within line-of-sight of the docking station, then it parks itself there to recharge. Mine lives in a small pantry. It always finds its way out of the pantry into the large kitchen. As long as it doesn't get tangled in anything, it finds its way back to the docking station about 90% of the time. When it doesn't, no problem, just put it back manually. Pairing with your WiFi and the app is a bit of a fiddle, but does work. It has lost the pairing a few times, and I've had to repeat the process. My top tip here, on Android, is (a) to follow the instructions carefully and (b) when you're pairing and Android tells you "Connected (No Internet Connection)", find the option to use the connection anyway (exact wording varies depending on the Android version). You do need to pair with the app if you want to set a schedule. Once you have set the schedule though, it's stored on the robot itself, so it'll keep following the schedule even if it loses connectivity. I schedule mine to run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while the house is empty. I'm always astonished at how much it collects after only two days of dirt and dust falling. I don't find it much of a chore to empty the dust and refill the water. Less often, I need to clean the brushes underneath, and swap the cloths over (they can go in the laundry). The box contains a length of boundary strip -- the robot won't cross this, so I use it to mark off a carpeted room. I cut it to length, to fit the width of a doorway, and there wasn't much left over. You can buy extra. I haven't tried putting detergent in the water tank -- the instructions don't say you can. I have run it in the bathroom and chucked a capful of floor cleaner in its path midway through, and it seemed to work. I also ran it on carpet, without the mop, and it does a good job. In fact, it picked up so much dust that we'd missed with normal hoovering, that I ended up sending it around the room three times, filling the hopper each time. Overall a very successful purchase. I had doubts about buying an unknown Chinese brand, but everything has been fine, and having Amazon's customer service to fall back on if necessary is reassuring. UPDATE: After about 6 months of regular use, the unit developed a fault where it would spin up its motors then just stop with an error bleep. I emailed Proscenic support, who sent me a return label. Once I'd dispatched the package, they immediately posted me a replacement, which I've received and is working. So I'm also very pleased with the level of support.

Update: the robot went crazy while doing its daily run, started spinning in circles and I could smell burnt plastic. This has happened 8 months after the purchase, well within the guarantee period. I've attempted to contact Proscenic and start a service claim in 2 consecutive weeks, but Proscenic couldn't be bothered to reply. Based on this experience I'd say if you buy anything from Proscenic you'd gamble your money for a few months of use. Original: I've bought this robot a few days ago and I must admit I'm impressed. It came on time as expected with Prime, the package was well secured and nothing was missing from the contents - 1 robot, 1 docking station, 1 water tank with dust bin, 1 additional dust bin, 4 brushes, 2 mopping cloths, a brush for cleaning the device and 1m of boundary markers. For device selling for a quarter of the big brand models it does an amazing job. I have 1 kitchen, 1 living room and 1 bed setup, I'm using it in dual mode - vacuum and mop. It takes the robot about 10 to 15 minutes to finish a room, goes under the sofa and the bed and hardly misses anything. The mop saturation is very good, it cleans the surface and doesn't leave any spils. Reckon I'd have to put an effort to do better mopping job than this little fella. App and Alexa: it took me a couple of attempts to get the setup right, but then with only 3 available options [start, pause, recharge]. You can't navigate the robot from the app, have to use the remote for that. The robot rarely responds to Alexa commands or I have to sync it again. At certain moment I couldn't be bothered anymore it's quicker to use the remote.

In brief: This is an excellent automated Vacuum. Minus 1 star as it is not good at making it back to the charging base. Would definitely recommend for the price. Mop works well. The vacuum works better. Yes, it does reach corners. Yes, it works well with Echo/Alexa In long: My first dive into the automated robot cleaners and I'm pleasantly surprised at how effective and hassle-free this little device is. Packaging came with all the required parts plus some extras (such as brush, mop and filter replacements) and the set up was incredibly easy: Push brushes into brush holes, they're labeled for you. Clip collection tray into rear. Whack on charge. Download app (or don't if you just want to use the remote). With regards to cleaning. I have tried all settings, and whilst spot, zig-zag, and edge are more controlled and logical programmes I find auto gives the best clean. This does, however, mean some spots are repeatedly cleaned but that is by no means a bad thing. The AI seems smart enough to get itself out of tight spots and should it chew up a lace (as mine has done twice now) it will stop, reverse, turn and start once again. After witnessing this I tried my best to truly trick it and laid down a small length of cable that got tangled in the brushes. The robot did the usual, stop, reverse, turn and restart but could not shake off the cable so it powered down. I suppose this is a better option than doing damage to itself but a little frustrating that it did not attempt to make it back to the charging base, however, as I write this I suppose I wouldn't be aware of the problem and thus it would never get resolved. The mop is essentially running a damp cloth over the floors, perfect for my 2 bedroom flat as we have underfloor heating and heavy mopping is not advised. This picks up most the grime but tough stains are unlikely to get cleaned, unless through sheer erosion on the auto setting it gets wiped 1000 times. The user manual advises do not use cleaning products in water tank as this can effect the components so a thorough clean will still likely be needed every now and again. My only slight frustration is that the robot quite often runs out of battery after not making it back to the charging base. Whilst this is not a problem usually, if you were to go on holiday and schedule it to clean once a day (on the app) the likelihood is that you will only get the first days worth of cleaning done and come home to find it stopped in the middle of your living room. Perhaps I need to move the docking station and retry with this but as it stands this is the only fault I can find. Also, a quick mention that emptying the bins from inside the cleaner is very easy and hassle free, once you work out which sides open. My robot also connected seamlessly with my Echo Plus but I must confess "Alexa, ask cleanbot to start cleaning" is a bit of a mouthful. All in all, I would certainly recommend this robot vacuum cleaner as a cheaper model or first step into the world of automated cleaners. I suspect the likes of Neato and Roomba are better quality products but I doubt that the difference in quality justifies the huge difference in price.

First the likes: The price. For the job it does, the entertainment and the time it saves it is worth every penny. It vacuums incredibly well. We were quite shocked at what it found lurking. As long as it has a turning circle it can get into corners with its brushes. It can manouvre over room dividing carpet bars and rugs. The mopping feature is very good. It’s fairly quiet. The remote/app and Alexa controls all work brilliantly. It goes home to charge up when it needs to - we had it going none-stop for a couple of hours, at least, before it needed a tea break. It is very easy to clean and change heads ........................................ The not so likes (none of which is huge) The instructions are very vague. If you want to use the mopping feature you just follow the head change/water fill instructions and let it get on with it. The instructions forget the ‘just let it get in with it’ bit so you spend ages looking to see how to... ummmmm.... just let it get on with it... . We did a mopping cycle to rinse the floors. Then filled the reservoir with diluted cleaner and let it go round again; it doesn’t say not to do this but it doesn’t say you should either.we then had a third mopping cycle to rinse again. Between each cycle we rinsed out the mop cloth (grim the first time and we (thought that we) keep our floors clean. Our bathroom, kitchen and hallway floors have never looked cleaner- seriously. It generally stops at the magnetic barrier, if you use it, but a couple of times it developed attitude and glided straight across it - and proceded to vacuum up the cat food. That was both disgusting and pretty impressive at the same time. The cats looked a little worried that they could have competition for their Felix pouches! You can’t change its name. We wanted to call it fembot instead if cleanbot, simply for our own amusement. It’s addictive. We are vying with the cats for pole position to follow it round. We are also desperate for our cats to ride it round so we can shove the video on Facebook to impress our very easily impressed friends. We are thinking of getting a second one; one upstairs and one downstairs. It doesn’t do stairs - it does however vacuum up the crap you sweep off of them. It’s addictive - did I mention that.

So amazing! Wish I'd purchased this year ago, so excited just couldn't wait to get off my work to try it out. I've been looking for a while to get one robot vacuum cleaner because I was suffering with really bad back pain for many years. Since I bought this cutie pie, it really makes my life much more easiest and better. This product really well made and decent, much better than I was expected. Used it straight away when arrived, took a bit of time to read through all the instructions and I found it's really easy to use and installed the app, the app very user-friendly and set up my own schedule just a second. Mostly will clean my living and dining room, when I was busy with my little one on upstairs and the floor will clean up when I came back after an hour. Then I will bring it back to upstairs to clear my two bedrooms and bathroom. Quite surprising the cutie pie can detect obstacles and step to protect himself from the drop collision. It works well with a remote control or app monitoring. We use it on thin carpet and rug which it easy to get on and clean very effectively. No matter I got a long hair and this cutie pie can pick them up easily. The dust collection box is a bit small but enough for daily use, I will recommend empty it every time after use. This cutie pie has many features and automatically docking when low battery, 4 cleaning modes made this robot became so useful and flexible. Just love it with no complaints, my little boy loves this robot so much and really enjoy playing with it without any harm. No yet try that mop function because of my kitchen too small and I will try it at my mum’s house. I do believe it will work well as described! Very pleased with this intelligent product and save me a lot of precious time with my family, value for money and never regret. Highly recommended for the first time buyer!

Bought this almost on a whim as many amazon users rated it highly. We have 2 dogs & wooden floors in our hall kitchen & orangery. I didn't want to "risk" £500 on the more expensive models. I am impressed! After a charge it set off randomly trundling about the kitchen, fitting under chairs, never getting stuck even on the edge of a thick rug. When it finds an edge it works its way methodically along until another contour prompts it to alter direction. A cable caused it some consternation but after tidying it away normal service was resumed. It deals very well with dog hair on hard floors, not quite so effective on carpet, needing several runs to pick it up, Next time It'll switch it to "max" mode to improve things. The dust bin was full after 30 mins, emptying took a few seconds to find the hinge but not a huge learning curve. The cylindrical brush underneath needs defaulting almost each time but that only took a few seconds. I love the way it is low enough to slip under dining chairs & even chests of drawers and has not got stuck so far, the dogs were only mildly curious and now ignore it. Noise levels are so low we were able to chat without raising out voices too. The WiFi pairing took a few long presses of the button to get it to pair, however I successfully set a cleaning schedule, coming down stairs to a hair free kitchen this morning prompted me to write this review! The remote is useful as it allows a second person to control it, once you have the app installed on one phone you have to unbind the robot to allow a second phone to control it so the remote is an easier second controller. A charge allows more than 90 minutes of cleaning and we both chuckled when I told it to return to its charging station & it wandered off to its charger! We haven't used the mop attachment yet, will update the review soon, overall...very impressed for £200.

I've been looking for a robot vacuum for some time now - mainly because I suffer with terrible sciatica. For some ungodly reason, I also decided on matt black floor tiles for my kitchen and bathroom - big mistake!!!, they literally show everything. I researched quite a few robovacs before deciding on this one. It was a good price, vacuumed and mopped at the same time and could be used with Alexa too. The app was easy to set up and connect with Alexa and you also have the added choice of a remote control too. I have mainly tiled and wooden floors and the robot deals with these amazingly. He does struggle with my thin but fluffy rug, bathroom mats and has become stuck quite a few times on wiring. I've been running him twice a day, morning and evening and find that he performs better if you restrict him to one room at a time. I have it on zig zag mainly but have also used the edge cleaning function, which is actually quite mesmerising - yes, I think I need a hobby. It is literally amazing how much this little guy picks up - we have two dogs and I am emptying the bin and refilling the water twice a day, but my floors are spotless. I also love how you can buy a refill pack from the seller which contains replacement brushes, filter and mop cloth. Here is a video of him working his magic on those black floor tiles - enjoy! UPDATE - Approx 18 months after buying, the product wouldn't connect to the internet and therefore I was unable to set cleaning schedules or control the mop tank. Initially the company did say they would send a new chip but this never arrived and my subsequent emails have been ignored. Such a shame as it was a good vacuum/mop and I was going to invest in their air fryer but not confident in the longevity of their products anymore.

The product was initially impressive, would find its way around the rooms of the house on hard floor and return home when low on charge, after a few uses it began only going around in left hand circles and you can visually see the left hand wheel not working. It would also repeatedly bump into things, not just once, but using the right wheel and stopping the left one it would go back and forth into things for at least 5 times before it then spin around to carry on. I would advise that if you live in a basement with no sunlight you will be fine, but February sunlight causes this thing to get confused and begin damaging skirting board through its clumsy ness. The attached video is without sunlight and shows how it even starts to trip over its own base and therefore ends up faulting shortly after.
