Perfect for cold-smoking salmon (or anything else)!
The LIZZQ 12x2 stainless steel pellet smoker tubes are well-regarded for their robust construction and thoughtful design. Made from durable 304 stainless steel, these tubes are built to last and resist warping, even after repeated use at high temperatures. The hexagonal shape is a standout feature, preventing the tube from rolling around on your grill or smoker and ensuring even smoke diffusion for balanced flavor. Ease of Use Using the LIZZQ smoker tube is straightforward: simply fill the tube with your preferred wood pellets, light one end with a torch, let it burn for five to ten minutes, then blow out the flame to start the smoking process. The tube works with any grillโgas, electric, or charcoalโand is suitable for both hot and cold smoking, making it a versatile accessory for any barbecue setup. Performance and Smoke Duration One of the tubeโs key strengths is its ability to produce up to five hours of continuous smoke on a single fill, which is ideal for longer smoking sessions or when cold smoking delicate foods like fish, cheese, or nuts. The smoke output is consistent and substantial, imparting a noticeable smoky aroma and flavor to whatever youโre preparing. My first time cold smoking salmon... For my first attempt at cold smoking salmon, the LIZZQ tube made the process remarkably simple and effective. After curing the salmon, I loaded one of the tubes with wood pellets (mixed Kirkland pellets from Costco), lit it as directed, and placed it in my grill, keeping the temperature low to maintain a true cold smoke. The tube produced a steady stream of smoke for the full five hours, infusing the salmon with a deep, rich smoky flavor that was far superior to any store-bought smoked salmon Iโve tried. When finished, the salmon had a pronounced yet balanced smoky aroma and taste, with the smoke flavor permeating throughout the fillet rather than just on the surface. The result was impressiveโmoist, flavorful, and with that classic smoked texture and color. The tubeโs performance exceeded expectations, making the entire cold smoking process approachable and successful, even for a first-timer.

Opened up the world of cold smoking...
I purchased these tubes to allow me to cold smoke on my reverse flow offset smoker, they worked great... I made sausage for the first time and was looking for a way to allow me to cold smoke them. I have several grills and a smoker but none of them would easily keep the temps as low as I was hoping for. I saw videos of people using these tubes to cold smoke so when I found these at a good price I decided to try them. I had my sausage in the fridge overnight so they were cold when I put them on. I filled only one tube with Pit Boss pecan pellets and made sure the tube was well packed. I placed it opposite of the smoke stack and below the grates to make the smoke travel across the links more evenly. Using a propane hand torch (the kind a plumber uses) I lit the end as instructed and allowed it to burn for a few minutes before blowing it out. It immediately created lots of smoke. I then set the links on the grates, closed the lid and let it be. I monitored the temperature of the gas exiting the smoker and it started around 80ยฐf and climbed to around 95ยฐf when it finished producing smoke, almost exactly 5 hours later. I pulled the links from the smoker and placed them in my oven, set to 275ยฐf to bring them to an internal temp of 155ยฐf. When I first inserted a temperature probe into one of the links it read 94ยฐf, the temp I was hoping for. A few minutes in the oven brought the links up to temperature suitable for sealing and freezing...a successful first attempt at making sausage links. I was anxious to taste how things turned out. I cooked the link that had the probe inserted into it to 165ยฐf and after it cooled some I bit into it...The link had a great snap, was juicy and had a nice smokey taste that was not over powering to the flavor of the sausage seasonings...This smoking tube really did its job for me. I found that keeping the inlet damper on my smoker closed kept the air passing through it lower which increased the smoke output and increased the temperature internally. It was breazy and the ambient temp was in the mid 70's. Overall, these tubes performed as I wanted and provided a very satisfying cold smoking experience for me, cold smoking for the first time...I am very happy with my purchase...

Each tube gives about five hours of steady smoke.
These pellet smoker tubes work well and are easy to use. Each one gives me around five hours of smoke, which is plenty for most cooks. They light easily, stay lit, and put out a nice steady smoke. I actually cut one of mine in half so I could pack it tighter for a shorter burn, about two and a half hours, since that is all I usually need for smoking fish. That is just something I did for myself. The stainless steel feels solid and they stay in place because of the hexagon shape. Overall, a good set that does exactly what it should.

Saved my pellet grill from the Dumpster!
I used to smoke in a drum smoker and it was fantastic. Just light it with wood chips in the charcoal and walk away. I loved the smoky flavor in brisket, butts or chicken but I grew tired of emptying ash pans and the sooty dust of the charcoal, or waiting for the charcoal chimney to fire up. So I bought a pellet grill thinking I could just fire the thing up with some hickory or pecan chips and have some tasty smoked fare at the end of the day. Boy, was I disappointed with the quality of the food coming off that insanely expensive grill. Perfectly cooked but without a whiff of the smokey goodness I associate with good BBQ. So, for most of this summer I left the grill covered and went back to my trusty drum smoker. Then, my neighbor, also a pellet grill owner, gifted me a LizzQ smoke tube and showed me how to use it. Wow. Game changer. Simply pack the tube with pellets and light it and you'll have smoke for hours! I normally only smoke Boston butts for the first three or four hours during a long cook as I don't think they absorb smoke much after that time. After some experimentation, I learned how to pack the smoke tube to give me just the right of smoke for the right amount of time. These tubes are very well built being constructed from 304 stainless steel and their hexagonal shape lets you move them around inside your grill to direct the smoke flow without worrying about it rolling around. If pellet grill manufacturers were smart they'd include a LizzQ smoke tube with every grill. Ooh, I almost forgot. This tube will let you cold smoke cheese. That's something I'd never tried before, but let me tell you, there's few things better than smoked cheese on a cheese burger. These tubes are cheap and I swear they'll revolutionize how you BBQ on your pellet grill. Buy one.

Exceptional
I have a propane grill and use these for smoke flavor on various styles of cooking. Set these up with pellets and have had great success. Once you figure out burn rate of your wood or pellets itโs smooth sailing. Build quality is beefy they seem like they will last forever.

Great addition to grill!
Had to try it out immediately. Filled it with apple wood smoker pellets and lit it with a small propane torch. Worked great! Tip: Heat the tube at the top on all six sides in addition to "from above" - see image. This really helps getting the flame started! If you don't need it to burn out completely, wrap it tightly in thick tin foil to extinguish it, let it cool and empty it out to sort the pellets from the ashes. Had a small ~ 3-4 lbs pork loin roast that I had larded with herbs/garlic/ground white pepper/salt and let dry overnight in the fridge. Put it on the top shelf in the grill - NO burners lit! The roast was smoked for 1 hour and did not reach more than ~72 F from the fridge temp, and was then cooked in a 325 F oven until 125 F. After pulling it from the oven, it slowly reached 145 F and ready to eat! Yum... Compatibility: Used in a Weber 2-burner gas grill - works great. Will expand on this, building a small "smoke house" to see and learn about smoking, primarily later this fall when it is cooler outside. Easy of use: If you light is as I described, it burns fine. Ease of cleaning: To clean, just dump the ashes and residual pellets (if any) and shake it out. Enjoyment: had to sit and watch it, since it was the first time I used it! Durability: seems OK, it is blueing from the heat, but that was fully expected Recommended? Yes... absolutely.

Would buy again.
Bought these to put in my smoker and BBQ to add extra smoke. I like my smoker but the smoke flavour isn't enough from the pellets - this provides for a longer smoke when temperatures get higher to cook. Would 100% purchase again.
