Golden Globe winner John Travolta (Face/Off, Pulp Fiction) returns to the action genre with a hard as nails performance as a man with nothing left to lose, seeking bloody vengeance! Unemployed engineer Stanley Hill (Travolta) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife Vivian (Rebecca De Mornay, TV's Jessica Jones) who was attacked by thugs in a parking garage. When Detective Gibson (Sam Trammell, True Blood) and other corrupt police officers are unable and unwilling to bring the killers to justice, Stanley turns to his old friend Dennis (Christopher Meloni, Man of Steel, TVs Law & Order) and decides to take matters into his own hands. It is only then that Stanley and Dennis are found to have a mysterious past that, until now, they kept very well hidden. As they wreak their revenge, those involved in the cover up realise that Stanley and Dennis are more dangerous than they could have ever imagined…

"..GOOD LITTLE ACTION FLICK FOR TRAVOLTA FANS.."
PLOT...Stanley Hill (Travolta) is out for justice after a group of thugs murder his wife in front of him, the corrupt police do nothing to help so he takes justice into his own hands, his old past that he left behind is about to be awoken once again!!Personally I'm a big Travolta fan especially when he does good action roles and plays cool characters, this is a small time budget movie but its pretty decent, its predictable of course but who cares we just want to see Travolta get revenge and kick butt, the movie has mild violence and shoot outs etc and some fights, The support cast is good too, Rebecca De Mornay makes a small appearance and Christopher Meloni is good too as Travolta's partner, the movie is directed by Chuck Russell who has done a few big and memorable movies in his time like A Nightmare on Elm street part 3, the Blob remake in the 80's, Eraser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Mask starring Jim Carrey, and the Scorpion king, this is worth checking out if your a big fan, its a fun B-grade actioner with a good soundtrack and a cool vibe. The Blu-ray (101-Films) has a good picture quality (good to see it even got a UK Blu-ray release)No special features.Region B only, 92-mins, 2016.

Eight something fast paced minutes.
The way the film opened and in those first few minutes it reminded me of the opening of the premise of 'Death Wish'. I found the 'double-act' between Travolta and Meloni quite entertaining and it did give a refreshing change of pace and action from the quite intense shootout scenes. I haven't watched Meloni in anything since seeing him in L/Order SVU and although he still had that bit of swagger it, like him is much more mellow nowadays. What happens to Travoltas wife in the story dictates the plot for the remainder of the film. Rebecca De Mornay played probably the smallest part in her career in this. The film is about vengeance and it was very satisfying to see so many low-lifes reap their 'summary justice'.Amanda Schull, as Travoltas daughter provides the 'eye-candy'. Good film overall.

Salford Skip Hire is that in the US?
I'm sure the stock footage of the skip in the titles is in the UK and not the USA judging by the Rubbish/garbage skip with Salford (Skip Hire) on the side and the UK spec yellow rear number plate on the back of the Mazda. Apart from this loved the film. A bit pedantic , but usually miss mistakes like this so feeling good - Smug face. Will most probably find everyone else who has seen the movie has found this mistake as well so not feeling so smug - Sad face.

Wait until it comes to TV
Really disappointing. You can tell almost from the opening frames that it does not have the production values of a good film. There is something about the quality of the picture that makes it look dated plus the badly mixed music that sometimes drowns out the dialogue. It is a slow starter and rarely takes off. John Travolta has rarely been so mechanical - this could have been an episode of Telly Savalas' Kojak or a Steven Seagal film..The cover states "Travolta's taken" it should have read "Travolta's taken leave of his senses". This is nothing like Taken; it does not have the plot, the action, the pace, nor the style. This is a 'B' movie plot, with 'B' movie acting and values. The cartoonish 'villains' were terrible; the attempts at banter and 'tough talk' were worse, and the plot had more holes than a giant Swiss cheese. There was one moment when Travolta cried, and he cried convincingly, and I believe that at said moment he was tapping into his professional conscience - knowing he took the money for a turkey - and it bit him hard.I only watched it all because I paid for this and was really hoping that it would become something other than a quick earner for JT.Save your money on this and watch From Paris with Love, which did not get much of an airing but is JT on top form with a great supporting cast, style, wit, plot, class - all the things that I Am Wrath lacks.

'STANLEY' IS LEFT WITH NO OPTIONS OTHER THAN TO SEEK VENGEANCE'
When during a seemingly attempted robbery 'Stanley's' (John Travolta) wife 'Vivian' (Rebecca DeMornay) iskilled, he rely's on the local police to bring the culprits to justice, however, after he positively identify's theprime suspect only to find that the police release him without charge, it becomes a game changer.Trying to make sense of his wife's death has been impossible for 'Stanley' ...however his thoughts after thePolice's failure to charge the man he'd seen kill his wife leaves him little choice but to seek revenge. He'll seek out old-friend and former comrade 'Dennis' (Christopher Meloni) for advice though hoping thathis friend will watch his back when tracking down the killers. The body count mounts however Stanley' and 'Dennis' discover there to be something far more sinister about'Vivian's' death which will lead them beyond the killers to both political and police corruption. There is plenty of kick-ass action in the film....described as Travolta's 'Taken' (there have been many films downthe years with a similar theme in truth)Funnily enough the role of 'Stanley' was first offered to 'Nicolas Cage' for whatever reason he of course didn'ttake-up the role. The film never went out on general-release but went straight to video. The film certainly worth a watch, at the right price, or perhaps catching it on a movie-channel

Travolta has moobs!
This is a real by the numbers tale... John Travolta is out of work and looking.Rebecca de Mornay has gone mental with plastic surgery but it's a pretty good job, sorry, off point, she's doing a report for a corrupt governor who has her killed. Strictly speaking I should write spoiler but if you don't figure the plot out in 5 minutes of watching the movie then you are off the dumb dumb scale! Johnny boy's family gets threatened, he turns out to be an ex ghost-ops dude, obviously, big murderous rampage and some truly huge plot holes and insanely poor acting by all including Travolta. ...But it's not crap! It's ok, I watched it to the end, it's stupid, obvious, badly acted, happy silliness revenge. If bored, watch it, accept it flaws, accept it will soon be 50p secondhand, there's a lot worse trite out there! Oh, Travolta has moobs now.
