When you need your USB-C cable to go the other way, or if you need to tuck a cable, or make a cable run neat, this is very handy. I have one for my iPhone 15promax rig, where one of my cables is crowding the filter area, now the cable is out of the way. Well worth having in your tool kit for instances like this.

I was really excited about moving my Hollyland Lark M2 mic receiver to the back side of the Iphone 15 Pro Max for a cleaner look... And I'm sad to report that this adapter did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!! So my mic DID NOT work with this adapter, then I also tried running power to the phone through the adapter via Usb-C cable, that also did NOT work... So this adapter is factually useless !!! It is getting returned ! 🤬

Works as intended. I use it with the small rig iPhone 15 Pro Max cage, and now I can connect an external microphone with no issues.

Ok so this it a totally preventable completely silly issue to have with this product. I chalk it up to being cheap or bad design or whatever. OK, so this U adapter for usb C is for use with the Smallrig phone holder for taking video on an iphone 15 pro max specifically which is great...until you realize its like a usb 2 gen 2 cable and is not capable of delivering power and data or connecting to an SSD and powering the SSD adequately. This means that if, say, you wanted to use your phone camera rig to record Pro Res Log 4k 60fps video to a hard drive you would not be able to do that with this u adapter. I ended up buying a different L adapter that was usb 3 gen 3 and everything works. I can run a usb c adapter and have a harddrive, microphones AND power delivery at the same time no issues now.

I'm sure it's great as an audio adapter, but note that it didn't work for powering an external monitor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0966YYP65?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). I know that's not the stated purpose of the adapter, but just wanted to note it for anyone wondering in the future. It was fine to power my phone, perhaps just not enough for the monitor's needs. Search for other 180 degree USB-C adapters.

Disappointed as it should work perfectly but the plastic housing is too bulky. So while it is compatible with the Small Rig cage for iPhone 15 Pro, it does NOT fit with the handle mounted to the side with the USB C port. I had to purchase an additional third party adapter which worked perfectly with the cage and handle combo unlike Small Rig's own adapter.

This was perfect for my phone videography rig. I have a wireless mic and the receiver fit perfectly.

This adapter is used to attach external accessories for the iPhone 15 series. It fits with cases, including the Apple MagSafe covers. Also fits Smallrig frames and rigs where the connector opening is at the bottom. Recommended for ease of use.
