This stylish detector is perfect for any applications. Check the quality of your indoor environment, workplace or confined space. As a great price point, this little power house will impress. Be warned however, this device is a VERY sensitive so patience is required, so please follow instructions in order for the device to perform correctly as is is a ANALYTICAL device with 1part per BILLION sensitivity - so it detects the slightest volatile compound. Also please understand that detecting volatile organics is VERY different to typical gas detection. VOCs are heavier compounds and tend NOT to disperse as readily as gases such as O2, CO2, CO, or N2. This means that consistent readings will be seldom and plumes of VOCs may not be repetitive unless tested in a controlled system or averaged over multiple test samples and time series.. The product has a built-in lithium battery and can be charged via micro-USB. When charging, the battery icon blinks; when full charged, it stops blinking. During charging, the detector is still able to operate normally. Life Saver (Literally)
This meter is amazing. Literally saved my life. We just moved into a new office building, and everyone had been getting headaches. After I brought my meter in and showed the supervisors how high the VOCs were we immediately got a ventilation system. I am still testing our building daily with this.

Not sure about the readings this thing gives
2nd Final UpdateTried a second meter since they lowered the price. It did not provide believable readings and seemed to require frequent calibration. The readings from this meter are 2X to 4X greater than the readings from my other meters. Sent it back and will not try a third.Final update:Meter failed after about ten days. The readings go to full scale after a few minutes on. This happens outdoors so I don’t think the readings could be correct.2nd Update:Changed review back to 2 stars. The device reads out HCHO in both PPM and mg/m^3. I have determined that the conversion factor used by this meter is 1.352. But the ratio should be 1.228. This mistake further undermines my confidence in this meter.Update: Changed review to three stars (from 2 stars). It does appear that readings will return to zero if you go back to exactly the same place (outdoors) at exactly the same time of day to check them. This does give some confidence in the data this device gives. However, the readings inside the house are still quite high by comparison to my other meters.It has an auto shutoff after about 30 minutes which cannot be cancelled. Seller stated: “For best accuracy best to calibrate every time you turn on the device.” It is quite inconvenient to have to calibrate every 30 minutes. I just check the zero readings as discussed above.Seller stated: “Also while charging the device cannot operate.” However, it does appears to operate with the charger plugged in. In fact, it cannot be turned off with the charger plugged in. And after a while the readings go haywire. You have to unplug the charger to resett the meter.I have two other air quality meters and the readings from these meters are somewhat consistent. The readings from the WP6600T are usually 1.5X to 3X what the other meters show. The instructions state that the accuracy of the WP6600T is +/- 20% FS [full scale]. That would be +/- 2 mg/m^3 which is much greater than the readings obtained.

Did not detect strong air freshener
We are looking for a home to buy. Many of them have some kind of smell or another. I bought this to try to figure out how intense the level of VOC might be in different houses. After calibration, I took the device into one of the houses with me, set it on the counter and looked around the house about 15 minutes or so. The monitor didn't register any VOC levels at all. The readings were .01 up to .03 with the happy face. The scent of plug in style air fresheners was so strong it made our eyes water. Returning the monitor. It's a great idea and I wanted to love this.

The reason i gave 2 stars was because i believe the one i got was not new as the sling was already attached and the meter didn't work by the switch and after taking it apart i noticed one of the connections to the battery was broken, after a little solder it working againother than the problem i had i a nice little meter

Inexpensive and it works
Worked well as a “forensic” aid to breathable air after fire in our house. I wish the instructions were a bit more accessible, but they r par for the course for Chinese products.

Instructions are terrible. I thought it was working well, calibrated it in clean fresh air after five minutes of sitting still. The readings it give off in a smokey fabrication shop are .050 mg. Then I placed it in front of my air purifier and it reads .300 mg. Doesn't seem accurate, like every time I turn it on it needs to be recalibrated or something.

Great Product
I love this product. It actually works very well. What I'm not fond of is the fact that you have to re-calibrate the device every time you use it, but I guess that makes sense. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Complicated to use. I can't be sure I'm doing it right even following two sets of instructions.
