I had a great experience with this self tanner so I will share exactly what I did. Granted everyone’s skin is different but this is what worked for me. I ordered the 8 hour mousse in the dark color. I used a Tree Hut sugar scrub with a mitt in the shower to exfoliate everywhere. I also shaved. I did this in the morning so I could apply the tanner that evening. Body wash is Tree Hut as well. This does not come with a mitt so I purchased a generic one off Amazon. I started by putting a tiny bit of light lotion on my toes and my fingernails. I did NOT apply lotion anywhere else beforehand. Not even after the shower. I shook the bottle very well and put the foam on the mitt, then buffed it into my body in circular motions. It dries VERY fast so you do need to work quickly. This is why I never apply in long lines because that’s how I get streaks. I used residual solution from the mitt to swipe my feet and hands. I also used a brush to dab the tanner into the mitt then lightly brush across my face. Then I put on dark loose fit clothing and went to bed. I applied at 8:30pm. I woke up and showered at 6:30am. For a color test, I applied a pimple patch on my arm prior to starting, then removed it before showering. Yes a lot of the color guide washes off. But I was left with a very natural looking tan color. I attached 3 pictures showing immediately after application, immediately after showering, and my legs after day one with lotion. I did not use a washcloth or loofa in the shower the morning after, just body wash and my hands. I then applied lotion and went on my way. I did return to using my loofah on Day 2. I’m on Day 4 and my tan still looks good! Obviously from the picture you can tell I’m very pale normally so this is a perfect ‘week on the beach’ color for me! Hope this helps!

I have used the Loving Tan mouse’s for the past 3 years and LOVE them!! They are very easy to apply, go on smoothly and easy to fix any streaks they leave. I have always been impressed with how long the tanners stays on between uses!! The dark is DARK!! , but perfect for the spring and summer!! Tips: •I exfoliate and shave before application and don’t again until I HAVE to. *I found it reduces my nails from turning colors when I put lotion on my finger nails and toenails prior to application. *I also recommend using a kabuki brush when applying on your face, neck and feet. Put it on the small application mit and dab the kabuki brush on there, then apply to my hands and feet. Con: I have been very disappointed in the price increase though. You do not get enough uses out of the bottle for the price. However, it is by far the best self tanner I have found.

I bought this specifically to even put my summer tan lines for a dress I needed to wear - primarily on my back. It went on smoothly and without any streaks. The color did not develop as dark as I wanted — not nearly as dark as my other areas so it didn’t accomplish what I was hoping for. The smell was STRONG. Even 2 days and 2 showers later, I still smelled it on myself. I would have a hard time using it again because of the smell. Overall, it’s easy to apply and doesn’t streak which is great. The color is not as dark as I anticipated and I think if I were to use it again, it would have to be in the winter when I’m not as tan. The smell is strong and I don’t know if there’s a remedy for that.

OK, so I was watching a show on YouTube called Hot&Flashy. It's for women over 50 who are looking for product reviews from a lovely lady who takes the guess work out of buying products for women of a certain age. She reviews everything from makeup to clothing, to styling hardware for hair (and more-even fillers, botox and facial products). She periodically does a 'Amazon Haul', where she reviews products she's ordered from here. She recommended Loving Tan, and said she really liked it (included before and after images too). After reading additional reviews on Amazon from other people i decided to try it too. Welp, I absolutely love it! The color is the best of any self tanner I've ever used. I typically use St. Tropez mousse. It goes on like most mousse, and does leave a tint. I bought the dark shade. Now, I did run errands after I applied it, but I would not recommend going to a party or doing anything important until you have had a chance to shower (let's be real, it is still fake-bake, and it does have the tinted residue that you don't want streaking). It does NOT have that tell-tale fake-bake smell that makes everyone in the house cringe. It's very nice, actually. When you first apply it to your mit, you will see that it has a bit 'redder' hue than many self tanners, but it looks so nice-like when you have a natural base tan, with a little extra sun glow. I will be purchasing this again!

I was nervous when I purchased this because it is kind of expensive and you never know how tanning products are going to look on you, but I read a ton of reviews and they all sounded good AND I had two friends who used it. This was definitely worth the money - I use it sparingly because I'm a student right now and can't afford to buy another bottle any time soon, but I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sunless self-tanning product. I bought applicators elsewhere, but as long as you make sure to exfoliate and moisturize before use, you'll be fine. I almost wish I would have purchased the darker color (I purchased this one because I live in the Midwest and am currently pastey AF) - this color is a nice "hey, you look tanner did you do something?" and not quite as intense as a "whoa you're fricken tan!" - which is probably better because when it wears off it isn't as big of a deal. I did try to use a little on my face - I used it on my body for about a week before applying once to my face. It definitely made my face noticeably darker after just one application, so I only needed to use it the one time (honestly, idk if this is meant for your face, but I went for it anyways, worked out fine). The long-short of it - this stuff rox my sox off. Don't look elsewhere.

Not new to self tanners. Decided to try this one in Dark. Upon application, smell is like "old lady perfume." Still better than other self tanners that have that fake chemical/urine/awful smell. A few minutes after application, it has dried and is not sticky. I have experienced no transfer onto clothing or sheets. Right after application, I look just as I want. It looks like a normal tan, no orange. I'm as dark as I want to be. BUT it mostly washes off after the 6 hour waiting period. The color guard in the product that allows you to see where you've applied it makes me look just as bronze and tan as I wish I was. I've done two applications of this product, leaving it on for 6 hours each time before rinsing off in warm water. All the color looks like it's just washing down the drain. Get out of the shower and pat down with the towel, don't see any tan color transfer onto the towel. Look in the mirror and there's some tan left on my skin but the beautfiul bronze tan that I had before rinsing off is gone. I've done two applications of this product so far and I'm not as tan as I appear when first applying it. I don't know how many applications it's going to take to achieve the bronze tan I want. Highly disappointed so far.

This is hands down the best self-tanner I’ve ever used. The professional strength delivers an amazing, deep color, and the quality is absolutely incredible. No streaks or orange tones in sight. Unlike other tanners, this one has very little smell, which is a huge plus. It applies smoothly, washes off beautifully after the development time without leaving any weird patches, and is incredibly long-lasting. If you want a flawless, natural-looking dark tan that stays put, this is the one!

Love this product, followed directions and achieved great results. For my medium/olive skin tone I used the (Dark For Medium to Dark Skin Tones) not too dark at all, rather a perfect shade, no streaks and worked well on my face even though I have sensitive skin. I also purchased the the (Bronze Shimmer) and it adds such a beautiful highlight/glow. This will most definitely be repeat purchase!

I’ve used self tanner for years & this product is the best by far. Such a great color, not orange at all & I use the dark. And none of that gross smell. Would highly recommend even though it’s pricey.
