They are clear glass, so anyone who goes in my bathroom gets to see my washcloth, various soaps and potions, the hanging loofah, and just how vigilant I've been at scrubbing in corners and beating back hard water deposits. It's isn't a nice thing to look at, and sort of overpowered any attempts I'd made to make the bathroom look nice. This privacy film is nearly opaque, and it solves the problem beautifully. I just made note of the sight lines from any angle a person may be viewing while in that room, and made sure to block that view. You don't have to be absolutely perfect with it. If there's a little bit of clear glass showing it's not going to attract the eye, so you'd have to be really trying to look around it to see anything. I don't know why people struggle with putting these stuff up, I'm not very handy at all, and I've done several projects with this type of film. It really isn't the big deal people make it out to be. It does take a little effort but it ain't rocket science. Just put some towels underneath the window, clean the surface with a bucket of water and a bit of Windex, leave it wet, and stick on the film. If the surface is wet you can slide the film around till you have it where you want it. Yes it really is that simple. The hardest part is cutting, but I have found that if you have cardboard boxes hanging around from say, Amazon orders, you can lay them out and use them as a cutting surface, as well as a guide to make straight lines. Get yourself an exacto knife and a measuring tape and cut away. This is a fun and easy project with a big visual payoff on a very small investment. I highly recommend it.
