EJS Portable Garden Water Hose Reel Cart with Wheels

I bought this so I could have a long handle to be able to wheel this in and out of my garage. I had to buy a small hose and cut this to attach to the plumbing, then attach my 100 foot hose because I was not going to cut a $50 hose. We will see how long this lasts. Hose reels are getting expensive. There is now a hose reel that has a foot pedal and will wind up your hose, but this is $88. Also, the company sent me an email for YouTube assembly instructions, which were very helpful.

The item arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. However I wish I would have read the other reviews more thoroughly because I did not have the correct type of hose to work with their connector piece. I would’ve needed to cut off the female end of my brand new hose in order to use their connector, which I really did not want to do because the hose itself was $50 and I wasn’t sure if the cart would work. I decided to, instead of using their connector, purchase a hose repair piece with a male fitting. That solved the problem and I was able to connect my garden hose. Shortly after that though I realized that the cart is way too lightweight and cheaply made to be of any use for me. In order to reel in the hose I had to physically use one arm to pull hose towards me while the other hand attempted to turn the crank. It gets absolutely no traction because of how light weight it is and there’s really just no way you can wind up anything heavier than something that would be the weight of an extension cord. And forget trying to unwind it, either. If I would pull the hose the whole thing would just drag along the ground or tip over. As far as transporting the hose on the cart, the cart works/rolls on its wheels just fine. But I was not willing to spend the entire summer struggling just to wind it and unwind it.

I tried to follow the pictures on the box to put this hose reel together. After a whole lot of cussin' and carrying on I was able to put the thing together. Have not used yet. After a few days I received an email directing me to a youtube page which shows a gentleman putting the hose reel together. It would have be helpful if the web address was on the box, or some instructions, and it would have saved me from having to repent from my sins. I would like to use the darn thing for a few months and I may come back and give another review.

I like the hose connections it came with. But it can barely hold 100 ft of hose. And struggles to unravel and move around that much hose. That was not what was advertised. The plastic can’t withstand that much hose, but if you had a 50 ft hose it would be okay. And the assembly is a pain, the video made it easy, but it’s a lot of work.

Came in with NO INSTRUCTIONS and only some parts with a few pictures on the box. NO PARTS LIST! After my Architect/Engineer husband got it together (much cussing) we had 3 parts left over. That is never a good sign. I have not used it yet but there are MANY places where this can leak. Then when that happens, I'll be the one cussing. I should ALWAYS remember " you get what you pay for!"Okay, watched the video that I had no idea was around. Yes, we had it wrong. Once we got it together correctly, they actually want me to cut the perfectly good end off of the brand new hose to connect it. Not happening!! They could have put a regular end on the thing and at least it would work without butchering my hose.

Bought this garden hose reel to store and transport a heavy electrical cord. Easy to assemble, especially since I didn't need to attach the supplied hose fittings. Instead, I purchased and installed an AC port (the OCO GCP1 13 Amp 125V AC Port Plug with Integrated Extension Cord) from Amazon. The end result is a lightweight portable electric cord reel (photos).

DO NOT BUY IT !!!!!! PIECE OF JUNK that will take time to assembly and it's difficult, you also need some strength and 40 minutes of your time.After purchase they will send you link to a video , and they keep repeating it's easy like a mantra.It's not easy. Also handle it's at the wrong angle to operate properly. DO YOURSELF a FAVOR DO NOT BUY IT. BUY CLABER for $30 more and you be glad you did CLABER Designed by Italians and proven to work perfectly.I was trying to save $30 , A BIG MISTAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!
