Big blades and the handle feels ergonomic.
The blade sticks out about an inch from the holder. So there is lots of length to reach in and cut through even the longest pile. The handle has a nice weight and has an angle so I don’t think my hand will get as fatigued working with this knife. The only negative I have is it does not have some sort of cover for the blade. That means, to be safe and not cut myself, I have to undo the handle, remove the blade, store the blade inside the handle and then put the handle back together. A little metal cover for the blade end would be so much more convenient.

Cutting tool ferry versatile
These are heavy duty carpet knife cutter. I haven’t actually used them yet, but I’ve used them to open packages and they’re just way strong and sharp. I’ll be cutting carpet up with them here this weekend. So you can use them for a bunch of different things. And they are very reasonably priced. I wanted just one and it came in a pack of two for the same price.

Excellent Carpet Cutters
We had a large rug that I wanted to cut up to trash it. I was able to cut it up with ease. I was pleasantly surprised and I highly recommend these blades.

Very unsafe - knife blade doesn't retract
The carpet knife is well built and attractive. In order to use it though, you have to open it up, take one of the blades from the blade storage area, and put it in place in the cutting area so you can cut your carpet. Unfortunately, when you are done cutting or wish to put the knife down for a sec, there is no quick way to retract the blade. You have to use a screwdriver to open up the knife and move the blade back into the storage area. It is very unsafe and inconvenient. I recommend buying a knife with a retraceable blade.
