Better than expected.
I’ve actually purchased two of these - one for myself and after using it, another one as a gift for one of my friends who also does a lot of messy home improvement work. It fits perfectly onto a 5 gallon bucket. It easily clips in place over the wire handle of the bucket for super fast set up. Once attached, it does exactly what you’d expect. Collects much of your dust and debris before it hits your vacuum filter - I was doing drywall/sanding and extended the use of my filters significantly. I also like to attach it to my miter saw/table saw when I’m using them indoors because it collects must of the sawdust without burning out my vacuum motor/clogging the filter. Good quality. Performs as advertised. Significantly less expensive than a true “dust collector”. I will continue to use it for anything beyond using my shop vac to cleanup the garage.

Can’t really go wrong with having one on hand
Works really good for what I need and is compact compared to the tall cyclone dust collectors but it does fall a bit short in preventing all the dust from getting in the vacuum because when you use the filter it gets clogged pretty quickly so taking the filter off is the best choice so you inevitably get some dust in the vacuum but definitely gets 75% of it or more. Solid purchase for the price and pops onto all my buckets nicely

Simple and effective
I cant believe how well this simple device works. It will take forever before i have to change filter in shop vac.

Top notch and works well!
Legit! Only deal is the "cover" on one of the holes is not needed and plugs up... just dont use and the product works well for small wood shop in the basement. 👍🏻

For small sanding jobs. Diy activities.
Works decently. The grip around the perimeter was weak so some dust got out. Good for small sanding jobs.

Seems like it will work but does not
I have a Dewalt DXV09P. It is a very strong vacuum. I installed this dust collector on a standard 5 gallon bucket and the suction of my vac was strong enough to collapse the sides of the bucket. I put the bucket into another bucket to support the wall and this helped. However, when I started to use it the dust collector (the screen that leads out of the bucket) clogged so fast that the suction went to virtually non-existent almost immediately. I had hoped for a easy to dump solution to my sawdust issues but this is not it. I considered making it two buckets tall to allow more vertical drop but hey, at some point is it worth all that? My conclusion, my shop vacuum is not that hard to dump in the first place. The large filter area of the vacuum's canister allows a great deal of debris to clump on the filter before significant loss of suction. It is what the vacuum was designed to do. This 5 gallon bucket thing is not worth your time and certainly not worth your money. I suppose this started as a you tube craze. Don't waste your efforts. I spent enough time fussing with this with little success. My advice, spend a little time dumping the bucket built into your vacuum cleaner. Oh, and if you do try one, save the box and go for a timely return

Good for the price, small size for easy storage
It works pretty well, and is easy to attach to a Lowe's Blue Bucket. You will likely need longer hoses and an adapter or two, depending on your tools. Stiff and/or short hoses make it difficult to keep the unit upright, as lid+bucket is very light, and it MUST be upright to work. This isn't going to get you through a whole day of sawing, planing and routering, but you shouldn't be looking to this small/portable solution for those needs. The hardest job I've given it so far is planing down some flooring by about 3/16, and I got through about 15 boards before I had to empty the bucket. Your mileage may vary.

Worthless crap!
Doesn't work at all! First, the thing falls over or pulls out of the vacuum if you try a silly thing like moving around. Spent more time putting it back to right than if I just ran the vac without it. I hooked it to my sander and the bucket collapsed. The tool I most wanted it for. Finally the last run with it left me with a very clean shop and a completely clean and empty bucket. Not sure but i thought the point was for it to catch the debris not my vacuum... Don't buy this thing. Its a waste of money and more importantly time. I am sending mine back.
