I wanted a big chess board, so I got a chess vinyl mat that was 17x17 inches. And wanted chess pieces to go with it. These ones weren't hollow inside. It weighs good. Its a very good quality plastic. The king is 9.3 cms. Great quality product!

Extra Queens for the purpose of possible pawn promotions
Chess set okay but it will be complete only with at least two additional queens to facilitate pawn promotion in a game if and when require. All the good product makers include those in their regular set.
