Was using jars to grow sprouts but this is a far more effective method and you can control separation better to coat all seeds evenly. You can grow different stages so you continuously have sprouts growing and never run out!

I got this after enjoying eating the alfalfa sprouts my mother-in-law grows. It is easy and simple to use, just be sure to really completely clean it after every harvest (or nasty stuff grows in it and you will have a bad batch). The one thing I don't like is that my alfalfa sprouts can only get about 2 inches tall in these trays, and I know they can get much taller than that if given the room. If planning to sprout alfalfa, look for some deeper trays.

The instructions say to rotate the stacking order for best growth results and to prevent mold, etc. The different sized tiers make that impossible. The top layer grew beautifully, but the middle and bottom layers grew slowly and ended up molding from being moist and dark. Do not bother buying this item.

This one I have just will not drain properly. Each level must be drained by hand separately while taping the bottom to help the water get out. The capacity is rather small also. The so called instructions are a joke. Certainly no 'helpful hints' in there either. The material was good quality but because of the poor function, I'll stick with the jars.

Works well, tho germination rates are not the best regardless of seed source. This is likely due to the impossibility of "rotating" the trays so the bottom tray is moved to the top position as instructed- they only stack one way due to the tray sizes not being the same. Apparently, the person writing the instructions has never actually had and used the product.

We just got the new sp;routers a few days ago & today we are adding the seeds. They appear to be good ones but won't know until we see how the seeds grow.

Great product. Produces a lot of sprouts.
