ROYAL BRUSH essentials Colored Pencil Drawing Set 36/Pkg

I love to color... okay, I know a woman of my advancing years isn't supposed to do that, but there it is. I find it relaxing and freeing. It's kind of like meditating. Okay, so enough with the metaphysical aspects of coloring. I wanted some pencils of higher quality than the ones I send to elementary school with the kids. I wanted it in a compact self-contained durable package. I wanted my very own (hide it from the kids!) set of pencils. It's pretty good, but didn't quite fill all those expectations. The container is flimsy and doesn't seal. So the minute you pick it up, your pencils and pastels are all over the floor. Ugh. I do like the way the pencils feel and the colors they produce. I like that there's a sharpener inside and slots to hold the pencils. If only the lid actually stayed closed, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. If you have a kid, who loves art and is careful with their supplies, this would be a good starter kit. Mine will probably end up all jumbled up in a plastic container in one of the kids' rooms and me still wishing for my very own set of beautiful pencils.

For $13 these colored pencils aren't bad. There is a decent variety of colors and they apply alright. Based off of the reviews, I was expecting to be pleasantly surprised, which is probably why I was slightly disappointed. But, they were pretty inexpensive, especially for all that is included in the tin.Pros: The tin is cute and perfectly durable Good quality sharpener Decent selection of colors Collection of various tools (blending stump, sanding board, color pastels and eraser) has a decent variety.Cons: Pencil quality is mediocre. Not terrible, but no better than the top available kids' brand. The eraser in the kit is really meant more for charcoal drawings and is basically useless for this medium. Wide variety of colors, but some of the colors show little variation once applied.Overall it's a good little set for a budding artist or someone that just wants a handy kit for a hobby and certainly decent for the price. If you're looking for something portable and budget-friendly you could probably do worse than this.

I am very happy with this product.There is a nice variety of colors. Most importantly, for me, is that they not only color smoothly, but the lead does not break either inside the pencil, or when sharpening. Also, when sharpening, using the sharpener that comes with this set, it removes the wood from the pencil, and hardly any of the lead (most of the time removing close to none of the lead, while still leaving a sharp point).I've just started using some of the "adult complex design" coloring books and purchased these pencils for that purpose. When using those, and comparing using these colored pencils, markers, or gel pens, I prefer using these pencils for that purpose.My daughter, who is an up and coming professional artist, was jealous when seeing the set, and immediately put in a request for me to order one for herself.

I purchased these colored pencils after having used a sample pack from a co-worker. I love that they come in a tin box and can be easily stored and organized. The pencils are of great quality and are no comparison to Crayola. They glide easily on the paper and have a nice solid color. I love that the kit comes with a sharpener as it is always hard to find a quality pencil sharpener that does not break your pencils every time.These were shipped fast and I am very pleased with my purchase. If you are looking for colored pencils you do not need to look any further. These are great quality at a great price!

Great colored pencils! They lay color extremely well. I'm very happy with these. I have also used them as watercolors and they are beautiful. I was unsure when I bought them as i had never heard of this brand. They have turned out to be a great investment! These are great colored pencils for a great price. This set includes 24 colored pencils, 8 color pastels, 1 sanding block, 1 blending stump, 1 sharpener, 1 eraser, and a sturdy storage tin. I would recommend this for skilled artist and anyone who enjoys adult coloring books and wants to have the ability to use Colored pencils and pastels!

My artsy granddaughter loved this set. I put it in her Easter basket and because they left for the beach that afternoon, she had it in the car with her to use during the trip. I am not artistic in drawing, etc., so I can't vouch for the quality of the materials, but my 11-year old granddaughter thought it wonderful and so did her mother. That was good enough for me.

It is what it says it is - not the highest quality, not the lowest. It's a great beginner set with a nice variety of mediums and supplies - perfect for a teenager that enjoys drawing. If you're a professional artist, you likely know this price range isn't going to have what you need in it. Otherwise, great choice.

Tin case is nice to have. The quality of the pencils is just average I would say. They were a gift for a 16 year old, who loved them. I personally would want something with a richer color. But if you just want them to play around with occasionally , they are great

Wish there were more colours in the box but they are very good quality and I am happy with them.

Not very pleased as a lot of to pencils that broken lead inside

The old saying you get what u pay for, the pencils break and split all the time, and the lead snaps everytime there sharpened disappointed, ordered some 36 derwent they were expensive but quality always rules

Leider großer Fehlkauf! Die Stifte brechen ständig ab, sogar beim Anspitzen. Die Farben decken schlecht und haben kaum Leuchtkraft. Ein entspanntes Malen ist nicht möglich, die Arbeit mit den Stiften erzeugt Frust, Wut und Ärger.

Mit diesen Stiften bin ich sehr zufrieden,die Farben sind gut und die Box ist praktisch.Die Lieferung war schnell,die Verpackung in Ordnung und der Preis ist auch in Ordnung.Was erwartet man mehr.Also alles okay.
