Attractive & well-made, have a hard time telling if it really makes a difference
Review of Green light therapy lamp from Aoife I like this lamp and I now use it as my new bedside table lamp. As other reviewers have noted, the brightness does not actually go down to nightlight level despite the item picture that seems to show otherwise. I suppose that if I were using this solely as a therapy lamp, having it dim could take away any health benefit of the lamp. I find it very useful as a room light. I feel like it might be beneficial to me, but I have absolutely no idea of whether that's the placebo effect or if these wavelengths really do effect health in the way the company says they do. I know that there have been some scientific studies showing various health benefits for different wavelengths, but it's such a new field that I don't think there's good consensus on what color does what or how it all works. The color I seem to get the most benefit from is the soft yellowish-white "relaxing mode" light. That one works for me exactly as the name suggests it would. Whether I actually have fewer or less severe headaches with the green light is harder to determine.* Wood trim print on plastic base. While it's not actual wood for the base, the appearance comes much closer to real wood than most woodprints on something like this. I had to look twice because it looked like actual wood with a waxy finish on it. I don't normally like wood prints, but I do find that I actually like this one.* On/off button on the base senses your finger, but that's the only control you'll find on the light itself. Don't lose the remote control or you're stuck with whatever setting the lamp had last been on.* Handy USB port lets you charge something from the lamp instead of having another adapter plugged into the wall.* While the "egg" is plastic, it doesn't look like a cheap plastic. It's slightly textured and the light is not uniformly reflected from the plastic as it would be if the "egg" were a normal smooth and shiny plastic. The feel of it and the reflection of light from the lamp due to its texture sort of remind me of an unpolished marble. No one would actually mistake it for marble, I wouldn't think, but that's as close as I can come to describing the texture and reflectiveness.

Bright
I like the green light as a more soothing alternative to traditional white light. It provides a duller glow that works well as ambient light as a night light or while watching TV or on the computer. This thing gets really bright at the highest level. It has 4 levels of brightness that can be controlled through an included hand held remote which is convenient. In addition to the green light, it can also be set to standard white lightThe egg shaped shell is made of hard plastic, but it seems fairly durable. It has a manual power button on the base as well as a USB charging port. It is not battery powered so it does need to be plugged into a socket to work. All of the settings are controlled on the included remote. It lets you switch between the brightness level, light shade, and a timer function for automatic shut offI can't vouch for the therapeutic value of green light, but I like it compared to harsh white light when I am winding down at the end of the day. It helps create a more soothing setting

Works to reduce eye strain
My wife does a lot of close work at night painting her craft designs and often gets headaches. This light seems to be helping with her eye strain and making her less sensitive than the harshness of regular light. The unit itself is easy on the eyes in that it is egg shaped with no sharpness to it. The range of colors is nice so you can get the right color for your needs. The added aspect of the USB plug and remote control are nice features.Overall it seems to work as advertised.

So bright
This green light therapy lamp works at described and it has helped me to reduce my anxiety and tension. My only complaint is that even though it's dimmable (4 brightness levels), the lowest setting (25%) is still a little too bright to me. Other than this, I liked this therapy lamp.

What a Great light
I’ve had other happy lamps in the past, and this one is by far the best. It is Matt textured white egg with a faux wooden bottom that looks quite real. There is a USB port on the side is convenient for phone or watch charging. The remote is very intuitive with well printed buttons but is by no means the premium remote. This uses a watch style battery CR2025 but for the size of the remote, I would have expected AAA.The different light settings are very distinct and pleasant. Cool white is the brightest warm white is nice as it replicates sunrise sunset and near white is a subtle mix of both. Put out quite a bit of light and can be used to illuminate a room, but I like to have it beside me in the morning while I have my coffee as part of a wake up routine. Very nice light it works very well and looks good even when it’s not turned on. As far as the actual luminescence of the light, I have no idea, but it is bright and I have seen a noticeable improvement in my mood, even after only using for a few days.

It’s ok, but not worth $100 Aud
The lamp is ok, I like the different settings but it’s not as bright as I expected.Pretty sure I could have bought one of the much cheaper options achieved the same effect. Also, it didn’t come with an Australian plug, I had to buy an adapter for it.

Very Nice Lamp
This "Happy" lamp is quite well designed and I truly appreciate the various "shades" of lighting options as I do not care for very bright light and that would do the opposite of the goal of this lamp (unhappy). The remote, and timer options are quite nice as I use this at work and am distracted from being aware of its usage. I'm not sure about the "happy" results but I must say .. I do think there is some truth / results to this, so would recommend. I do feel the price is a little high given the simplicity and quality (materials) of the lamp. Better quality materials vs plastic would justify this price.

Fight the Winter Blahs!
Therapy light can be a way to provide your body with the correct wavelength of light to make certain vitamins and nutrients that are essential to good mood and good health. Working in a office or other environment where you're stuck indoors and can't spend enough time in the sun creates the need (for many people) for lamps like these. This one is relatively small and attractive and doesn't scream THIS IS A MEDICAL DEVICE to anyone who you might invite into your home or office. It's portability makes it more versatile than full spectrum light bulbs which you may not be able to use everywhere. The brightness levels make it easy to tailor to your individual needs. I like it.

Ok light - no instructions in the box that came with my light
I received the Light Therapy Lamp 10000 Lux Happy Lamp Light Therapy 4 Adjustable Brightness Natural Light Sun Light UV Free Desk Lamp Remote Control Timer, Wooden-E9 Egg Desk Lamp. I do get SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and had blue light that I bought probably 10 years ago (which no longer works) and recall that there was a certain distance, angle to face and time of therapy recommendations. There were no instructions in the generic, white cardboard box that this light came in on how to use it so I had to refer back to the product page (and other reviews) on Amazon for guidance. It's an attractive lamp - it's not intrusive sitting on my end table - you wouldn't know it's a therapy lamp. The remote control works well and is easy to figure out. The timer is accurate. The light flashes off and on once when you set the timer to let you know it's recognized the timer has been set. The light cover is plastic and you can just make out a slight seam from the bottom of the cover from the base, up and over to the other side (couldn't catch a good picture of it). The glare from the light is a little harsh, even at the lowest setting. I guess it would depend on where it's set out on my desk but I don't have instructions so I don't know where to position the light for it to be effective. There is a usb port on the light base but there was not a cord in the box, just an ac adapter for the ac port.I need to use this light a little longer to see if it's effective. Even though the lamp seems sturdy and it functions properly with the remote, I've given the lamp a 3 star because I don't know if I'm using it properly because I did not receive instructions.
