Purchased this as a gift and they were thrilled. Unfortunately, as soon as you add water it’s starts spilling out from the center. One I actually opened to look at the mold so thought that was why. The second was exactly as it was delivered. Adding water made the mold separate and there was no locking mechanism to keep it sealed.

Ordered these for my Star Wars Obsessed teenager and he uses them almost daily for everything! Water, juice, soda... it all has a Death Star ice sphere in itVery easy to use, you just need a stable, flat, level place in the freezer to place it (We use the freezer door) so it can solidify.Overall, a great item!

I love these, but it can be a little difficult to get the ice out of the bottom. And I was having issues with the whole thing cracking in half. Not sure if it was me or the mold.

This set of 2 ice molds are really fun to add something extra to drinks. The molds make a medium- large size "ball" of ice. These are great for drinks. The ice shapes were pretty easy to get out. I'm going to make a bunch of these to have on hand for May 4th Star Wars day celebration. I think I might trying using these to make some flavored ice as well. These are great for a gift or any Star Wars fan kitchen.

I like that you can have a death star sitting in your glass and these things get the job done creating a nice, large round chunk of ice.Some of the cons I experienced...-it doesn't like staying together firmly when you fill it with water. You need to be very gentle with it all the way to the freezer or it will want to come apart and start to drip water.-it was hard to take apart once frozen. Maybe I was supposed to run water on it or something, but I was expecting it to just release a nice little frozen death star. I had to fight the thing to get the silicon off.Overall, it's a gimmick. If you are truly looking for something to make large ice for your bourbon, there are better options out there.

Warning: you need a fairly large mouthed glass to use these. They are very wide and one set of my whiskey glasses doesnt fit them and the other only allows them to sit up pretty high until they melt a bit. They are very easy to remove the ice sphere and seemed to freeze pretty quickly. Perfect gift for your whiskey loving star wars fan.
