Cole & Mason505 Salt Grinder - Clear Acrylic Mill Includes Precision Mechanism and Premium Sea Salt

This is a great little mill for the money. It loads easily and makes a nice grind.

Salt grinder is excellent but the pepper grinder is not so good...at least the one we received was not too good. I am going to order another or the same pepper grinder and see hopefully that it was just the one we received was not too good.

Had one previously for over 15 yearsSadly that wore out so replaced itFixture on the tableWife will not settle for anything less!!!

Time to toss these. Worked okay with coursecsalt but constant struggle to grind pepper.

I'm pleased with the salt and pepper grinders. Pleased indeed! There is one small discrepancy; there should be tops or covers at the bottom, for each grinder. It keeps moisture out of the containers, specifically the salt grinder. ( Rust can set in rendering the salt rocks difficult to grind and the precision grinder useless.) I'm using a small dessert plate for this purpose. I saw Amazon has a tray, but clip on covers are better. I may order the tray later.Overall, I like the product!

Pros:Good quality for the price, sized to be functional yet unobtrusive, finely grinds pepper & easy to use, clean & refillCONS:Does not finely grind salt, requires a tray or grinder caps but does not come with either, a matching tray or caps are not available to purchase separately (I did purchase an acrylic tray from another manufacturer off of Amazon)If this set included a matching tray or caps as well as finely grinded salt, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a house warming gift.

I had one of these for over 20 years. It worked great the entire time until I dropped it one too many times (which was many times over 20 years) and an important piece of plastic broke off. The grinding machinism was still in great shape. So I bought the set with salt and pepper grinders to replace a more expensive salt grinder (different brand) that broke within 2 months. I also get to see the pretty pink salt now. I don't feel like I can get the super powdery grind of salt I sometimes like for finishing but its still pretty fine. Hopefully they will last as long as my first one. I'm picking up another pepper grinder as a gift because it will go with any decor and will also look nice with the 4 pepper blend I'm adding to the gift. Plus the price is fantastic.

I bought the larger salt/pepper grinder & loved it. I decided to purchase small pair & was very disappointed in the release & controll of the grind. I think I would buy the larger units in the future!

We like that they are not too big on the table. They are elegant and suit any setting. We also find the grind just perfect.

I ordered the salt cellar with a round nob on top to match the pepper I have, but when it arrived it was a flat top. Not as shown in the pictures

Becomes permanent on my table, superb quality and look so beautiful. Work superbly. Expensive but worth the money

Totally worth the price, this is so good that I ordered two more, for my family. Will surely last a lifetime, the salt mill and the pepper mill, I use Himalayan rock salt in this ordered through Shan. That gets milled like butter.

Easily the best salt mill for both moist and dry sea salt. The acrylic body is sleek (I was worried it might look cheap, but it looks very neat and classy). The ceramic grinders are fantastic. I like a slightly coarse grind and this mill is perfect for such grind. A really good buy.
