I’ve been using this light for about a year now and I would highly recommend it as a portable light source. It gets dim enough that I use it as a night light when I’ve stayed in other people’s homes and bright enough that I’ve used it as a work lamp while fixing my car. The magnet is plenty strong and the lamp has never fallen The hook latch could use more resistance, I’ve found it’s come open a time or two. And I wish it had a 1/4” mount somewhere to screw onto a tripod. Still highly recommend

Great light for the money! .. if that's what you want. 4 stars only b/c of the price. High points are has both USB-C and USB-A connectors. Has 3 "color temperature" settings (but no idea what CRI is). Comes with cool carry bag - stuff sack. Has magnetic base - stick it anywhere, even on the side of your fridge. Questions / Comments: Purchased for a tent light. For me, didn't make a whole lot of sense to put a $17 light into a $500 nylon tent but I was interested to see what you get for little money. The 1,000 lumens is doubtful. Maybe 400lm, but more likely 300ish. I don't have a test meter but I do own a number of Fenix and Nitecore lights that *are* 1,000+ lumens. Also, an LED "60 watt equivalent" home-use light bulb is about 800 lumens. Still plenty bright enough for most outdoor uses as even 300 lumens is pretty bright and if you're worried about that, just get 3 or 4. Brightness is relative. The Inverse Square Law applies. Battery... This uses a LI battery. There are some concerns. That's why many shipping companies as well as the TSA have restrictions. No idea if there is any thermal regulation? Also, no idea if there is voltage regulation - will the light go dimmer as the battery discharges? I'm not going to put anything in a nylon tent unless I'm totally convinced it's safe. So, for me, for safety reasons, this would be good under a canopy or tarp outdoors, but not something I'm going to use in a tent or indoors for that matter. I just don't like to take risks. So for me, for tent use, it's going to be a light that is totally protected and has a removable battery I can inspect or replace if needed. That's just me; you can do what you want..

At first this light was extremely frustrating because the controls aren't very intuitive and there are no instructions on how to adjust the colors, brightness, and different modes. Once I hit upon the right combination of buttons and figured it out, though, it quickly became one of my favorite lights. I now use it every day in an area of my house where I often need more light during certain activities. I've had it for a couple months now and have only needed to recharge it once even though I use it for 30 minutes to an hour daily, or more. ... and even then it didn't *really* need a charge yet, I just decided to top it off before a windstorm came through in case we lost power. I live in a rural area where we have frequent power outages and I feel a lot more secure with this little light around. I especially like that I could also use it to charge my phone if needed, though I haven't tried that feature yet. I like how many color and brightness choices there are, including multiple shades of white, of which you can adjust the brightness for each. It also has fun rainbow colors that you can choose from, or you can put it in a mode where it fades from one to another like a prism. I can't speak to its durability for travel or camping. It doesn't look super tough to me, but I think if you're a person who handles your things with care it would work great in any setting. I don't think it would take a beating, though. Upside of that is it's lightweight. The attached carabiner-style clip is very sturdy and closes securely, so it's not gonna fall off from where you hang it. Overall it's a pretty great little light, especially for the price. I even bought a second one as a gift for a friend!

This is one my favorite things I’ve bought. Used in a camper and it was the only light needed for the room. Used during power outages, battery holds up great and the colors can change. Can also use as a charger. Has a strong magnet and strong caribeener making it easy to put anywhere needed.
