A beautiful book
I love this book. I've been a fan of Richard Bolles since the 70s, when I first read What Color Is Your Parachute. This book gives us glimpse into the source of his joy and humor: his conviction that we are all here for a purpose, a purpose that we helped choose before we were born.It is tremendously uplifting, for people of any faith. For those on a search for their mission, you are not floundering in the dark; you are just trying to remember what you came here for.

I was somewhat disappointed in this book
In all candor, I was somewhat disappointed in this book. I have completed "What Color Is Your Parachute" and found all the worksheets and reflective questionnaires to be very helpful. From that work, I arrived at my career decision to become an educator. This book had a lot of pretty pictures and blank space. The message rang true and I believe in what Bolles had to say. However, I finished very quickly and didn't feel helped much. If the paperback version has any additional resources I'd sure like to know that. Also, I'd have preferred to choose that version if that were the case. If it is, there should be some sort of disclaimer on the ebook version before you buy it!

Clear, Concise, Applicable!
Bolles clearly gets right to the point of what our mission in life is both corporately and personally. He is concise without speculating into esoteric babble and exaggerating self deceptive individualism that too many times accompany this field of personal mission books. This material gives us the categories to fill in in writing as we discover, develop, and deploy our corporate mission for God’s glory so others are blessed. Living out this books ideas will gives purpose and power while our eternal joy as Christians radiates today.

Great book, simple... maybe a little too simple
This is an exceptionally quick read! It is also quite profound due to the straight forward delivery of the message. Basically the message is: find out who you are and what you like, which are gifts endowed by your Creator. Use those gifts to better youself and do the best you can in your current situation/circumstances.This really is a good, bottom line up front type of book that doesn't require much time or effort to understand, but might take a while to implement in your life. I look at this book as a building block, or a foundation that willstart you on a path to find your mission in life. Give it a shot.

What if you have no faith?
In truth I bought this by accident but gave it a go. Sadly my not having any faith left me frustrated that the author was not speaking to me... Not his fault seeing as I didn't choose this book. Mind you, having read it now, the author may say "it was chosen for me". There is a preamble about taking all the faith references and converting them to your own, but what if you have none?I take the point that about the word 'mission' implies a greater power giving it to you, so perhaps I need to be reading a book called 'Finding purpose for atheists and agnostics' which of course would have to grapple with larger existential issues. If you are a militant atheist: steer clear. Agnostics confident swimming in a sea of Christianity may enjoy the notion that you and God got together and chose your mission together.

This core message is central to all of the "What Color Is Yout Parachute?" books.
This small book is included as an appendix in all of the Parachute editions, and contains the core secrets of Richard Bolles methodology, as he once explained to me in a personal conversation. I've purchased many copies of this book for friends and colleagues over the years. If you're spiritually inclined, and want to connect your spiritual direction with your career path, this succinct volume may hold the key.

Mission
Kind of difficult to gain a handle on this book. I guess it is intended to be a manual. Wasn't sure.

nice read
Helps put the reader back on the course of Jesus' promise of "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you". Not sure why I quoted the King James Version....I never read King James.

Not impressed.
This was a very small "booklet" and quite religion influence, neither mentioned onsite. I received a refund!

Guidance to find your calling
There are a lot of information in the internet but nothing as effective as this book. It will guide you to find what you are would like to do (or confirm you are in the right career).

MAinly repeats the section in PARACHUTE
Nicely written but adds little to the section in What Colour is My Parachute and I feel , for this reason, it's a little over-priced.
