I had a fluval uv on my tank and it stopped working after one year. The bulb is not replaceable where this one is.

When I received it, I was impressed with the weight and heft of the light. Fitting screw on tight and satisfying. No leaks, easy to clamp hoses on the included barbs.

I finally installed this in my aquarium and after being used for just less than a month, the inside rusted completely, and started leaking on the edges of the cylinder, and all but 2 of my fish died after loosing none for almost 5yrs. DO NOT BUY THIS IT WILL KILL YOUR FISH!!!

This product has a problem of leaking because the hose connections are frail and easy to break. Replaced those with pump hose adapters I had, and problem solved. Works great now pond is clearing up after a couple of days.

I've bought 2 and they don't last 6 months. You can't get replacement bulbs and the power units go out. At least that is my experience with them.

I use these in a cold plunge, and even though I have the power shut off before I get in, I’m still weary of how well these are sealed while they’re running. This one has several “layers” of protection, is very well built, and the included mounting hardware is slick. I do wish they’d include fittings that weren’t plastic, I changed mine out to brass, but for most applications maybe the plastic would be alright.

This is a great UV sterilizer. I had an algae issue with my 75 gal reef tank. After I installed the sterilizer it was cleared up in a few days. When I first set up the sterilizer I did have a minor leak. I applied a little silicone sealer to stop the leak. All is good.

This SS unit looks and feels impressive. Easy to assemble when following the simple instructions provided. Fits my tubing, and the clear plastic inlet/outlets are study. Clamps hold the unit well. UV light visible through the clear plastic adapters. Very pleased with this unit, and will toss all of the various plastic in-tank units I've used before buying this one.
