How are these for noise cancellation during calls?

I bought them for my husband & he doesn’t have any issues hearing on them & when I’m talking on the phone with him during the day I don’t have any issues hearing him. He works in apartment maintenance & has a lot of noisy things going on most of the time & it doesn’t affect my hearing him talk. I do hear the noise in the background but it doesn’t drown him out.
