It’s true that this item has no connection for an overflow pipe but that isn’t needed if you have a sink with an internal overflow. That is one where the overflow is built into the sink itself and flows back into the sink hole, just below the plug. My sink is a modern Belfast sink, supplied two years ago, which has an internal overflow, so perhaps if you have one of these, then this is the product for you. But if you have a more original and older sink, then I think these do have additional external overflow pipes, so this is the wrong product for you. Given some rough measurements of my sink and the dimensions shown, this was a perfect replacement for me and my sink. With a little Plummers Mate sealant then it was fitted quickly and perfectly. The extra sealant I think it the key to this fitting perfectly. Overall very pleased.

This water was exactly as i needed and importantly the right size. Good quality components and so far a more than adequate replacement for the old waste. No leaks so far!

Brilliant. Used it for a Belfast sink after one I’d had for 15 years broke. Fitted fine with no leaks to the sink (local plumbers merchants said Belfast wastes could be tricky). My only concern is that the long hollow metal screw is secured into the threaded plastic. I might have expected a captured metal nut. Would be concerned that stripping the plastic thread would be a risk when tightening the entire fitting onto the uneven lower surface of the sink.

Perfect fit

Fitted a ceramic sink for the kitchen found the half bowl is a different size waste hole to main bowl for reasons unknown, So a set of normal kitchen wastes won't fit. However ever the legendary McAlpine did a belfast sink waste that does fit so saved the day,ordered but worth the wait it was a perfect fit for the half bowl, so beware if you want a ceramic sink remeber to check hole waste diameters.

Arrive much faster than quoted. Just as described n in photos on website. V good value, well worth it especially as no.local plumbing shops could supply it on its own- you had to buy the entire sink kit for more than twice the price.&

Product is fine but it doesnt have a overflow attachment; the one that does has a very similiar product number: MBSWSS85 which isnt stocked with Amazon

Easy to fit. Long bolt meant it easily had the depth for our outdoor Belfast sink and it’s been out there for a little while now with no signs of weathering so far.
