It says it’s processed in Japan, but is it made in Japan start to finish?

Yes, this is blended in Hiroshima(Japan), and packed in Kyoto(Japan).

Do this have a fishy taste? I hate seafood..

The umami dashi soup stock has an incredibly delicate flavor. There are 7 main ingredients but I don't find any one of them dominant. Its the blending of those ingredients that make the 'whole greater than the sum of its parts'. By adding complementary ingredients, such as thinly sliced mushrooms, green onion, baby carrots, maybe a protein source, the result is quite delicious. Although there is fish in the ingredient list, the broth does not seem to have a 'fishy' taste, which I do not care for either. However, if you're super sensitive to that flavor, you might detect it. Subtle, Classy, Pure golden broth

I got this about a week ago and already need to reorder. Easy to make the Dashi stock/broth, and it makes a very delicate golden broth with complex flavors that include just a subtle hint of smokiness. It is not overly fishy, and doesn’t taste like a beach smells. Very refined and suggestive flavor palette perfect for my soups, braising vegetables, and I even made rice with some to give to my dog going through chemo treatments. Definitely getting more!!!

Excellent stock/broth base!

Amazing flavor, adds really delicious depth to soup. Used this for a “beans and greens” soup but I’m sure this could work for many other dishes. Not “fishy” at all!
