Back To The Future: Untold Tales and Alternate Timelines

I'm a massive fan of the BTTF franchise and have seen the movies more times than I care to remember! I bought this book on a whim, because it promised to fill in some gaps in the storylines, such as how Marty and Doc first met, amongst others. All I can say is WOW! It certainly delivers on that promise. This book is brilliant. I wouldn't normally buy graphic novels, but because I am such a fan of the BTTF world, I HAD to get this one. It is well written (it's written by Bob Gale - of course it is well written!) and the artwork is exquisite. I have just bought the sequel now - Continuum Conundrums - and advise any fan to do the same. To summarise, in 3 words - BUY. IT. NOW!!

GREAT SCOTT! A great mix of tales set in and around the classic films. I didn't think there were more stories to be told about these characters, but I thought wrong, dude. I won't give anything away, but if you want to find out how Doc and Marty first met, where - sorry, when - Biff went to before giving himself the Almanac in 1955, and how and why Doc's mansion burned down, then you need to buy this book. So glad I found this!

I'm a massive BTTF geek. I've owned this trilogy in VHS, DVD, BluRay and I still have the laser discs. I have a hover board, Lego De Lorean and boards of other toys related to the franchise. So it goes without saying that this official (and canon) set of comics is great reading and a must-have for Back To The Future nerds. The stories are great and it's nice to explore the extended movie universe.

This comic series is purely short stories. Some are better than others. Just a bit of BTTF fun. Product arrived as seen in image. Good product.

This is a great fill in the blanks comic. This is great for all Back to the Future fans. The main story is Doc Brown and his family preparing to make the jump at the end of BTTF 3. Doc nostalgically tells the. Stories of his past (there future). These include how he and Marty met, dealing with a teenaged much more assertive George Mcfly, along with the triumphs and pitfalls of time travel. I really enjoyed it and was the perfect companion to the movies for me. Then you also get a huge cover gallery with all the alternate covers as well. Must have and must read for all fans of the movie.

It's in-depth version of Back to the future and it's characters and it's kept original. You will feel like your watching Back to the future 4 created.

Incredible artwork and stories that align faithfully to the original trilogy whilst developing the stories of the characters and answering some key questions regarding the plot.

I have never been a fan of comic type books but as I'm a big fan of the BTTF series I was intrigued to see how the likes of Doc met Marty and what happened after BTTF 3 ended. I would have preferred a novel but this was the only option. I enjoyed the introduction on how Marty met Doc but it was a little rushed and you will find all the stories are more of a flashback than detailed stories. They also seem to use different illustrators as well, as in each story Doc and Marty look different, sometimes unrecognizable. I like consistency and as for these books, they don't have that. I think these books are great for kids and teens who are just finding out about the BTTF Series but for the avid fan and for me personally it feels a little too childish, hopefully in the future the writers may cater for adults also.

I have always been a big fan of the Back to the Future franchise, and when I saw that IDW had started making a comics to continue the story, I was very excited. This particular graphic novel is fantastic for the true fan that wants back story, and a better understanding of the characters. This graphic novel develops the storyline much more. After reading it, you have a much better understanding of the characters, such as how Marty and Doc met, etc. The writing and graphics are very well done. I would highly recommend this graphic novel. If you loved the trilogy and want more, start with this book, and you'll be hooked!

C'est avec plaisir que l'on retrouve les personnages de la trilogie dans des aventures inédites et c'est là le point fort. Le bémol c'est la ressemblance qui n'est pas toujours bonne pour la transformation en comics des comédiens.

Great compilation of the first 5 comics of Back to the Future. Great histories that serve as a complement to the movies, some stories are between movies, the more entertaining include the first time Marty and Doc Brown meet and how they became friends, Clara Clayton (Clara Brown) history before meeting Doc, George McFly and Lorraine Baine looking for Calvin Klein, why the Brown Mansion was burned, how Biff from 2015 dominated the time machine to get to 1955, etc. If you are a fan of the movie trilogy this will be the comic for you, as the stories look in the quality of the storytelling from the movies.
