So beautiful, you can’t go wrong with this sconce
This sconce is so beautiful. One reviewer here said that the glass shade was way too unbalanced with weight, which had me worried. However, I really don’t think it’s an unreasonable weight distribution. The shade is much heavier than the metal part that attaches to the wall wall however, I don’t think that there’s really going to be any problem as long as you get the screws in a stud or use sheet rock bolts because they are indeed heavy.I think this is an amazing value for the price as these look and feel a lot more expensive than they were. The quality is fantastic And the gold finish doesn’t look cheap. I cannot speak, speak to the ease of installation because I am planning on using rechargeable lightbulbs with these as I live in an apartment. However, I immediately bought a second one because it is just so beautiful. I would definitely recommend these.

Poor weight distribution
The base is very, very thin metal and lightweight. The glass shade which is nice and heavy, is WAY TOO HEAVY. It's 90% of total product weight. The globe is to be secured with am also very thin, lightweight weight lightbulb ring. I can't imagine this staying functionable for long at all, especially the hinge with the weight of the globe pulling on it constantly.

Hard pass on these. 25 watts max bulb / installation bad
I have installed quite a few different lights in rooms. This was one of the worst that I have ever done. The max bulb that this will take is 25 watts which isn’t enough for much. The installation directions are more for a light that doesn’t use an electrical box which is a huge red flag. We are returning these.

Beautiful Design and Nice "Antique" Look
I am very pleased with this light fixture that I installed above my kitchen sink. I live in a historic home and I thought this light represented the antique look I was looking for to match the aesthetic of my older home. I was drawn to the glass shade with the "hobnail" look. The gold isn't a bright, yellow gold but more of a brushed or antiqued gold, which to me, gives it a higher end look. The instructions for installation were easy to understand as well.
