Amazing bridge but issue with description
To say that this is the special version of the Floyd Rose tremolo bridge it looks and feels just like the original especially with the price comparison of the original, I can’t wait to install this in my current guitar build! My only issue and the reason for 4 stars is the error in the description of this item, it states that it comes with the locking nut when it doesn’t.After opening the box and realising this I understand why it doesn’t, every guitar is different and there’s so many factors to consider when looking for a locking nut if they included the “wrong one” then it would be a loss for Floyd Rose and frustrating for the buyer.Thankfully these aren’t overly expensive, even with this not being included it’s still cheaper than the original, but I wanted to point this out for future buyers and I’d hope that the description can be amended to remove this.

Pay for the name
As someone who has a lot of experience with guitar hardware, I cannot recommend the Floyd Rose Special at its retail price.Look, it's a good step up from no name Chinese pot metal bridges, but there's a problem: your paying a LOT more for just the Floyd Rose branding. The Sung-Ill (South Korea) manufactured Floyds (1000/1500/Special) can have inconsistent pivot point machining and heat treatment hardening, and the zinc alloy saddles of the Special are almost guaranteed to suffer premature wear, leading to stripped bolt threads and string slippage. And given the Gotoh GE1996T can be had for around £20-£30 extra, which has steel saddles, a brass spring block, much more consistent quality of machining on the pivot point and has a more comfortable bevelled saddle design and shares the same locking pivot stud design as the legendary Ibanez Edge (which Gotoh manufactures for Ibanez) to boot. The slightly more expensive German made Schaller Lockmeister is also an excellent alternative, that shares the same specifications as the German Floyd Rose Original (which Schaller still manufacture on behalf of FR Industries), but is offered at a much more competitive price. The Korean Floyd Special and 1000 series (both made by Sung-Ill) are a way for Floyd Rose Industries to still keep a hand in the game by offering guitar companies the Floyd Rose branding at dirt cheap OEM prices. It's a marketing trick. The problem is that you, the consumer, are not a huge Asian factory manufacturing thousands of guitars for multiple different brands and can buy thousands of these for maybe 30% of the retail price.Save your money and buy something better. These are cheap bridges at inflated prices.
