A fantastic, fun way to explain misophonia to a young child!
This book is well-written and great for small children. It's especially great for teachers or educators who want to help a child explain misophonia to their peers. Every classroom and therapist office should have a copy!

One of a kind
Difficult to find helpful information about misophonia. This book is simply written to help a child understand what they are going through is not entirely unusual. Maybe after reading this, they will feel more "normal". Also, may be helful to parents, teachers, etc.It is likely impossible to paint a completely accurate picture of what kids deal with when they suffer from this condition but this book does cover the basics and offers a simple way to help.

Would’ve made her misophonia worse !
My 5 year old daughter gets angry when she hears people chewing and swallowing even though we chew with our mouths closed. Almost every supper we have together ends up in a fight. I was hoping this would help her understand and help her cope with how she feels but after reading it I feel that it would’ve made it worse. Worse by talking about other sounds that could make her angry. Here’s an example “ I hated going to school. Kids were always being so obnoxious tapping their pencils on the desk, sniffling and coughing. Some days, I would get so upset I would run out of the classroom and start punching myself in the head, pulling my hair and crying.”
