this worked great for putting in a NVME drive into an older Macbook Air from 2015. It was super easy to install just slide the NVME into this adapter, then the adapter with NVME into your Macbook. Easy and cheap way to expand storage. This particular unit worked perfectly with a Linux install on the same computer.

I was concerned that this adapter may increase the length of the M2 drive so it wont screw into the macbook air but I needent have worried.the adapter is well thought out and the new SSD just plugs in.not sure how many removals and inserts of a harddrive it can handle and the multiple times it can be plugged into the motherboard but its designed to be plugged in and then left.works exactly as intended

Parfait,m'a permis d'installer un SSD mvme Samsung 970 Evo Plus d'un To sur un mac-book air 2017 avec une installation triple-boot linux sur système de Fichier Btrfs.Le démarrage à partir du clone (restauré par clonezilla) n'a pas fonctionné, mais à cause sans doute d'un initramfs à reconstruire, ou d'uuid à adapter dans fstab.. Les utilisateurs de linux comprendront le "problème" si toutefois s'en était un..Bref, pas eu le temps d'investiguer, j'ai donc fait une installe fraîche sur Btrfs et restauré mes sauvegardes.. Tout recouvré manque plus que les paquets que j'avais moi-même installé...Vitesse de lecture x 2, c'est plutôt réactif, mais le SSD est Pcie version 4 et le macbook Air Pcie version 3, je ne pouvais donc m'attendre à ne pas atteindre le max , mais quand même passé de 128 Gio à un To pour 90 euros tout compris. Donc très satisfait.Pour la resto du clone du triple-boot (Mint, Sid et Eos), je verrai plus tard..
