The media could not be loaded. looks nice out of the box but as soon as you pick it up the metal accents start to slide around and become displaced. more unforgiving is that the correlating sword doesn't even come close to fitting making it pointless to try and display together. for a collection/display piece at this price I don't expect perfect but I at least expect functional and something that it is worth putting on my wall. quality is not worth even a quarter of the $$.

The first biggest issue is right out of the box, the sword wouldn't go in all the way. I was able to find that this is a recurring issue with this product specifically due to the sword and scabbard being produced in different places.Now, the reason this got 3 stars instead of 2 or 1 is because I was able to get the sword to fit, albeit with great effort. I had to remove the silver end, and use a yardstick with some sand paper to sand out the inside (since it is made of soft balsa wood). I then reattached with epoxy.Now my biggest issue is, for for the price point, I expected immaculate quality. Yes, straight out of the box the scabbard is stunning, and the included hunting knife is also beautiful (and sharp, as opposed to the swords). That being said the quality is not there. The silver end was "epoxied" but more like thick super glue which I was able to accidentally pull right off. Next, some of the fittings are loose, which I could epoxy, but that shouldn't be necessary. In addition to the tip being super glued, upon reattaching the tip, as well as a brass ring around it, I was able to find there is a spot to screw the tip into the scabbard, that isn't even being used!So it really is a great scabbard (after being modified pretty well) but is not worth anywhere near $260 dollars. I could maybe see $100 or maybe up to $125, just because it has the included knife which is probably the only saving grace.

As a massive fan of The Lord of the Rings, I was really looking forward to starting off my collection, and while the scabbard itself is beautiful to look at, the blade doesn't go all the way it, and it sticks really badly for as far as it does go. On top of that, the fittings are very loose and slide around, including the metal part on the bottom of it. I want to love this, but it's a very disappointing product and I cannot recommend it at all.
