An honest review: The good and the bad I recently finished the book. I thought for quite a while about how to write the review because I want to help beginners out there, as I was once a newbie too! So, read on if you're thinking about purchasing the book. Let's start with THE GOOD. What I really liked about this handbook is the organized, yet engaging approach. The lessons are well-structured and easy to understand. It doesn't feel too formal or scholarly. It's like talking to a knowledgeable friend. Moreover, the book provides lots of information regarding learning Spanish on your own. There is a section about common grammar mistakes and how to avoid them, how to express yourself, and tips on how to write in Spanish. But if you ask me, I really enjoyed the part about basic phrases that you can use in daily life, like greetings and how to say "thank you, no problem.. etc." That's it for the good part. Now, let's get into the other part. As sweet as the advertised 21-day assurance can be, I don't think beginners can be fluent in just under a month. I till probably take at least 2 more weeks. I believe that learning shouldn't be rushed, you should too. Don't be hasty or pressured into learning Spanish. Take your time and enjoy every bit of it. I also noticed that there are bits of grammatical and punctuation errors (I found 4 in total in the whole book, so not a biggy). This can be a minor issue, but for a grammar cop like me, it bothered me a little. I hope the next edition will fix this issue. FINAL THOUGHTS Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. It's clear, easy to follow, and straightforward. It's a great introduction for beginners, but in terms of fluency, a bit more time and practice will be realistic. So if you want to start learning Spanish, this book is your best bet! Highly recommend this. Good luck!

I have struggled to learn Spanish for years and this book has uncovered the reason why. Small lessons and exercises have made it fun and digestible. Placing the emphasis on grammar rather than word memorization was the key to seeing daily progress. I would recommend this book to any busy adult learner.

I’m just getting started with the workbook, and so far it’s been very informative. You can move through it at your own pace. It’s already giving me confidence that, with practice and commitment, I’ll be able to speak Spanish fluently and confidently.

I haven't had a dive into the program yet, but I believe thid is going to help me with my grasp of Spanish.

Keep an open mind and don't get frustrated. If you are a true beginner this book will give you a solid and helpful foundation. Just don't give up.

An excellent guide to learning Spanish. I have to go to Spain and I needed a book that would start with the basics and help me with the Spanish vocabulary. Thanks to this book I now feel more confident about the Spanish language, I absolutely recommend it!

I have already started learning Spanish with a teacher and an app and this book accompanies both very well. It helps cover some things i have learnt and helps clarify some words and uses. Will try the online courses next if i can login.
