Holes too large
Bought this to grow alfalfa but the seeds just fall through the holes and end up on the bottom tray.

Flimsy and doesn't fit together very straight
This needs to constantly wiggled around to find a spot for it to fit together. Also the plastic is quite flimsy - not sure how long it'll last.

Just about dollar store quality
When I ordered these I was SO excited! I wanted to start my sprouts right away!As I started putting them together, it seemed like they were stacking alright....until I really looked. One side would fit and the other would pop out. It was kind of frustrating. These aren't high quality seed trays. I'd expect to see them in a dollar store or something along those lines. The green plastic is worse than the clear. Actually, I think it's the green plastic pieces that are the problem. These are still usable, you just have to be very careful and keep them in a place that they won't get knocked over. And don't stack them too high. In fact, stack them TWO high.It didn't come with instructions but there are basic instructions on the listing. You'll have to do more research on your own as to how many seeds to "plant", how much and how often to water, how much sun it needs, if any, when and how to harvest, what temperature to keep them at....I wanted to say these are overpriced but you get a lot of pieces so I GUESS it might be priced about right - at least for the 6 - not for 2.

Poor quality
Should have checked the reviews before I purchased. Product is very poorly made and the pieces do not fit together correctly - seem warped or bent. It was wobbly and didn’t fit no matter how I stacked them. Disappointing

dont seal/ close tightly
These sprouting trays are attractive, and I like that they can stack... but the lids do not latch. That is, they do not connect in a way that they don't come off when you turn them over to drain them, or even when they sit on the counter. That makes them more difficult to use and can easily become a mess if someone knocks them over.I am also not a huge fan of plastic. It does not last and is not a very environmentally sound choice. I have used sprouting jars for years, either with cheesecloth, or a screen lid. In fact, I found a set of lids on Amazon, which fits Mason jars, and costs just a few dollars. I have had them for years,I liked the look of this set because it enables me to grow different sprounts on different levels, but the fact is that it is more of a challenge to use, and occu[pies more counter space than several jars.I think these are meant for those who want to post photos to instagram. My garden is outdoors, and my sprouts will be grown in jars from here on. If the tops attached so that they could be turned over to drain they would be a lot more useful. As is... There are not as good as cheesecloth and a rubberband
