These are inexpensive goniometers but they are the kind used in most doctor's offices and also given at medical exhibits as freebee's for PR. I have seen medical supply companies offer a single goniometer for much more than this entire set. So there you have it in a nutshell. Decent quality, inexpensive.Added comments: I use mine for measuring angles on radiographs/x-rays and (less frequently) for evaluating range of motion

I researched a lot of gifts for a physical therapy student. I talked to several P.T.s and they all recommended a set like this. Price and quality led me to this set.
