Technic Kawasaki Ninja H2R Motorcycle Toy - Building Toys for Kids, Boys & Girls, Ages 10+ - Kickstand for Display - Model Kit Birthday Gift - 42170

This lego kit was quite a challenge to a novice towards motorcycles. I am not a motorcycle expert--but I do love those designs. DESIGN: The concept for this type of motorcycle was both interesting and quite fantastic. It seems that every detail to the Ninja -H2R was well thought out, from its sleek outer-body classis to its wheels and realistic suspension cushions. ASSEMBLY: The kit comes with (5) five bags of parts, to include a highly detail manual for assembly and some decals. The ' internal engine was the most difficult and complex. Each of the gears had to be positioned and spaced precisely for its individual movements. The color-scheme for each part was identified, except for the distinction between black and grey parts. The most useful tool, within the manual is periodic internal diagrams for placement which is very important. POINTS OF INTEREST: The manual will periodically tell you when to rotate specific parts before assembly that was very beneficial. The "schematic- skeleton" (basic construction) that looks like a dinosaur was a proven asset to build. During the course of building, I had to deconstruct specific modules, but by following the manual, re-assembly was easy. The fact that most of the parts were numbered proven to help in its completion of the motorbike. ISSUES: This kit does not come with a tool for ' emergency-deconstructions ' due to errors. Suggest having some personal model kit tools for this reason. The engine assembly requires exact placement of internal gears. In some cases, the appropriate rods were too short for full mobility without falling apart situations. The motorcycle rear-lights were a definite plus, but not the case to the front-head lights ----- which were just black square modules. The application of clear-white plastic would work for the front lights to keep the continuum going. Upon completion of this build, during motion of the cycle, the internal engine was difficult to see its movements or functions. WHY? The additive bonus is that this kit has a really great kick stand, but no foot rests on each side.

I got it for my son‘s birthday who was turning eight years old. I know the box says 10+, but not looking at the age - he definitely enjoyed building this motorcycle. It did take a little time for him to put it together, and he did need some help with few steps, but mostly he was able to build it all by himself. I’m impressed with the idea of this motorcycle as it shows every single detail just like the real one. The finished product looks really good and durable. It is a little bigger than I expected, which is a plus for me as we really love the way it adds to our Lego collection. Me and my son definitely had some fun those few days. It is definitely worth the money as nothing can buy the memories we got while putting this set together. Recommended to everyone starting from 7-8 years old and up. Super fun. You will enjoy it!

I love motorcycles, so I grabbed this set when I was able to and built it with my brother. Took us three hours to build, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow (as they usually are with Lego). We had no missing pieces. The moving pistons are really cool, and the detail is crazy. Loved building this set and love having it on display.

Boyfriend loved this as a gift. It makes a great 2 person project. May be a little more challenging for the younger kids, I had some trouble at some parts lol. All pieces were provided, plus some extras.

Awesome lego set was really fun to build and looks great the functional shifter is a neat bonus to this kit too.

This was a nice challenge for me and it looks amazing. I'm not the best with applying the stickers but if I was going for perfection I'd still be trying. It has an actual 2 speed transmission that works. Getting back into Lego in retirement as a hobby and something to do with the grandkids, but I usually can't wait and show them the final assembly. I live close to a large Lego store and I try to look for sale items between Amazon and their website.
