It's not bad
I was a bit apprehensive buying this meat grinder from the negative issues brought up in past reviews but I figure, of the cheaper ones sold on amazon this seemed little better, maybe. A past review commented the suction to lock the grinder to the countertop didn't work. Well, when I used it and the suction locked down the grinder rock solid to my countertop. I did have to make space because of all my clutter, then to clean and scrub said countertop first but it worked fine. Another comment mentioned the collar that hold the grinder blade in place would unscrew when turning the handle of the grinder. I didn't have that problem. I didn't do anything special but the collar stayed tight without loosening. Another comment, the handle was too long. This definitely is an issue. The handle is maybe a 1/4" too long that it'll hit the counter top when you turn the handle. You have to place the grinder at the edge so that when you crank the handle there is clearance to turn it without any obstruction. I had a edge to the countertop I could use with a perfectly flat spot for the grinder base so I didn't have a problem. . . . and as for using the grinder, it works! Except for the handle being too long, I didn't have any problem using this grinder. I purposely cut the meat into small cubes (maybe about 3/4") I figured to make the grinder easier to grind the meat and it seemed to work. It didn't take that much effort. Pretty much everything comes apart except the main body to the base so cleaning and washing the grinder was very easy. I only just used this once so I don't know how it'll fare in long term usage but it seems solidly built for such a cheap unit. 4 1/2 stars but because it was so cheap and it works well, I gave this a 5. It's not perfect but for a cheap grinder that works, I think it was well worth it. .

Great little grinder!
Perfect for my needs! I just wanted something that I could break out once in a while and grind up some good steaks into burgers. This is perfect for that kind of job. If I was doing lots and lots of meat every day, I would opt for something beefier (pun intended) but for the price point this is perfect. I also have to mention that I saw another review that was bad and the guy posted a video and he said that no matter how tight you tighten the nut, it just comes undone when you turn the handle. I really don’t know what he was doing wrong but I suspect he put the blade in backwards. When it’s assembled correctly, everything is tight and works perfectly. He also mentioned that the handle hits the table that you mounted to. That’s because he mounted it backwards. You put the bowl on the table and and the hand crank at the edge of the table, so it never touches the table. I really wish people would read the directions before they post reviews. For the price, this thing is awesome!

An ok starter for the budget wise.
Works well once you align the parts correctly. Instructions not very easy to follow so slow down and study them well. Cut beef and pork pieces into small cubes and feed slowly. The crank should take a bit of force to turn if working correctly.

Need 3 hands to operate
I bought this to make ground venison. There were several issues when trying to use it. 1. The handle is longer than where the base sits on the counter so it has to be on the edge of the counter top. 2. Because it's on the edge the suction keeps coming off because it slides around as you are turning the handle. 3. The ring that holds the blades turns in the same direction as you have to turn the handle so no matter how tight you make it, it unscrews itself unless you hold on to it, which is impossible unless you have 3 hands, one to crank, one to use the meat plunger and one to keep it from unscrewing. (Video) I cut the meat into 1/2 inch squares and this grinder had great difficulty feeding into the grinder, venison is very lean, yet the blade kept getting clogged. I was also using the large size plate for grinding and it still was very hard. This came with a cookie dough attachment which is probably the only thing this is good for making. It took me 30 minutes to grind 2 pounds of lean venison and my hands and shoulders were hurting from trying to hold everything together. Since it was past the return window, I threw it in the trash and ordered an electric LEM meat grinder that will do 7 pounds of meat per minute. Unless you are using this for marshmallows, I would not recommend it.

Cheap in price but not in performance or quality.
This thing is amazing. I was expecting it to be one of those "it'll do for now and I'll upgrade later" buys, but I was so wrong. This thing has yet to snag or hang up on anything I've shoved in it. I use it every weekend to make homemade chicken sausage or ground beef for my meal prep. The suction mechanism never slips or releases on accident. It all comes apart and that makes it so easy to clean. I just yeet it (gently) into the top rack of my dishwasher and it's done. At some point I'm going to have to use the cookie attachment and hide from my dogs so that I can dip them in Nutella and peanut butter to enjoy without them staring at me like I hold the secrets of the universe in my chocolate covered fingers.

Not a very quality product
It's an okay meat grinder for the price but I don't think I'll use it more than a few times. It was impossible to get it to suction to the counter. I tried it dry, I wet the counter. It just didn't make any difference. It said it had a powerful suction base and that is just not so. I held on to the base and my husband turned the handle. It has a very cheap and flimsy feel. It ground my meat but it was a very tender piece and I don't think I will get the same result on something a little tougher. I will eventually just buy a more expensive, better quality meat grinder.

Minced meat making at home is so easy with this tool
Bought some steaks at Costco but didn’t know what to do because it wasn’t the most tender cut and my toddler didn’t seem to love them when we grilled. I used this with my two year old and he had so much fun turning the handle and watching ground beef coming out. Love the transparent tube so you can see how the meat is moving. Handle is easy to rotate for kids as well and the assembly was very easy. Also easy to take apart and clean. Quality of the suction is great and very satisfied with the durable product. It’s pretty compact and can be easily be stored in your cabinet when not in use. The home grinded meat without any additives taste so much better than store bought. Final product is compatible or better than the ones you buy for sure. Made with very durable plastic

Great Grinder For The Price
Decided to try this inexpensive meat grinder to do the one thing we use a meat grinder for - making ham salad (ground up ham chunks, ground up sweet gherkins to which we add mayo). I had NONE of the issues mentioned by other users but again, my only use for this new grinder is for grinding ham chunks and gherkins. But . . . for that purpose, it worked just fine and was less of a mess than our old cast-iron grinder. There was NO issue with suction (to a standard FORMICA countertop); NO issue with the retaining collar when tightened properly; NO issue with anything that was different from similar grinding issues with the old cast-iron grinder (i.e. left-over bits of ham or pickle in the feed tube). As for the handle being too long, either they have adjusted the length or mine shrank , but I had no problem turning it over the countertop although I positioned it next to the sink which gave me additional room for turning the handle. Overall - it worked as promised - with the CAVEAT that I've only used it once but have no reason to return it and the price when compared to other grinders works for us.
