True reference book

A Stellar History of Colt Snake Guns
You couldn't ask for a better book about the legendary Colt snake guns, particularly the Python. This book is super high quality so it's very much worth it's fairly high price. The information is thorough and well presented. The photographs of all the models in all their finishes and in actual size are why I call it stellar. I'm actually more of an S&W man, but I loved this book. I wish someone would do a comparable volume on the Smiths.

Worth the price for Colt revolver fans
Beautifully done, well thought out, and very informative table book. The pictures are HD and life-size...and the author didn’t just go find mint condition pieces to make them all seem pretty. I’ve not gotten through the entirety book yet, but so far I’m enjoying it. It’s a bit pricey for sure-but if you love the Colt revolvers it’s a must-have. I’ve never spent $95 on a book, but this one is well worth it.

Collectible Work of Art
For anyone who truly loves fine workmanship in a hard board book, this one ought to be the industry standard. It came in a clear sealed wrapper and I can only imagine what it might be worth years down the road if left unopened. Lamentably I didn't have $200, just half, so I took off the wrapper but with latex gloves on. You've got to get the paper jacket off so that it won't be damaged, then get a load of the most beautiful full size photos of every permutation of my beloved 6" Royal Blue Python and its brethren. Only serious Colt lovers will be interested in such fine detail, but it ought to answer any question about serial numbers, manufacture dates, number of pistols made and so on. The kind of minutiae a gun nut loves. If you've gotten this far, it's just a matter of hitting send, and reconciling yourself to owning a $99 book, but you will NOT be disappointed.

A must for any firearm enthusiast...
Bought both, Seven Serpents: the History of Colt's Snake Guns & Colt's Python and King of the Seven Serpents, individually. Saved money buy doing this instead of buying the twin pack. Both books contain a plethora of information. These books go great with any firearm collection.

Outstanding book! Provides extremely detailed information on each of colt's serpent guns including the variations of each model, grip styles, barrel lengths, metal finishes, engraving, etc. Includes excellent high quality photos. Provides a lot of detail in one volume. I took this book to my local FFL dealer and the salesmen had never heard of nor seen this book. They were all very impressed with its content and some stated that they planned on getting copies for their collection. If you're a fan of the serpent guns and want to learn more about them, this is a book that you must get.
