A Flawless Feel. But flats are awful.
Recommended air pressures are found INSIDE the box! Using the recommended pressure, I found these tires to be perfect. They roll with no discernible road friction or drag. I found that after the first few rides, remaining air pressure overnight reduced SIGNIFICANTLY. It evidently takes a while for all of the minute gaps around the bead to fill and seal. The group I ride with has had great success with thorns and "wire whiskers" puncturing the tire and permanently self-sealing. I, personally, a year ago, had disastrous flat tires from glass punctures of about ½" ! They were disastrous, because when I tried to remove the tire to install a spare tube, it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove the tire. I switched to using tubes, and had so many flats due to thorns and wire whiskers that I decided to give these tubeless tires another try. Since I wrote the above, I had a disastrous blowout from class that cut a 1" gash across the tire. I have discovered that if one breaks the seal on BOTH sides of the tire, it is possible for two people to remove one side and insert a tube. Be sure to carry a "boot" to keep the tube from blowing out. The long tire removal pliers I bought through Amazon do NOT work.
